The aim of this study was to determine whether the addition of esketamine to morphine would improve postoperative analgesia after caesarean section. Parturients who planned for a caesarean delivery using combined spinal-epidural anaesthesia with a request for postoperative anaesthesia were randomly divided into four groups (A, B, C and D). When the surgery was completed, the parturients in groups A, B, C and D were administered 2 mg morphine, 0.25mg/kg of esketamine, 0.25mg/kg of esketamine plus 2 mg morphine sulfate and 0.25mg/kg of esketamine plus 1 mg morphine through the epidural catheters, respectively. The postoperative pain at rest, pain with movement, the number of rescue analgesics and adverse effects were evaluated for 48 h after caesarean delivery.
Anorectal problems, such as hemorrhoids, fistula, fissures, Etc., often require surgical treatment. Patients often have postoperative pain after these surgeries, which increases discomfort and hospital length of stay. The efficacy of oral non-opioids in the treatment of such pain is poor. Hydromorphone is an opioid analgesic commonly used orally or intravenously for postoperative pain management. We designed this trial to investigate the efficacy and safety of intrathecal (delivery directly to the spinal cord during spinal anesthesia) single dose hydromorphone versus intrathecal placebo in treating postoperative pain among human subjects after anorectal surgery, but also the recovery of postoperative motor capacity in these human subjects.
This study is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, phase III study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tegoprazan versus esomeprazole-containing bismuth quadruple therapy in patients infected with Helicobacter pylori in China. Screening phase: After signing the informed consent form, subjects will be determined for Helicobacter pylori infection by 13^C-urea breath test (UBT),histological testing and bacterial culture during the screening period. Subjects who meet all screening criteria will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive the tegoprazan-containing bismuth quadruple therapy (hereinafter referred to as the tegoprazan group) or esomeprazole-containing bismuth quadruple therapy (hereinafter referred to as the esomeprazole group). Treatment phase: Subjects will receive relevant study medication starting on Day 1 of the treatment period for 14 days. Follow-up phase: Within 29+7 days after the last study drug treatment, subjects will return to the study site for efficacy and safety assessments. 13^C-UBT detection will be performed in this follow-up visit to determine the Hp infection status of the subjects after treatment.
Background: Presence of a series of typical physical symptoms is an enduring and functionally relevant feature of early-onset schizophrenia (EOS). Psychotherapy improves clinical symptoms in adults with schizophrenia, although data in adolescents with EOS remain scarce. The purpose of this study is to examine the efficacy of the adapted group psychotherapy in improving clinical symptoms from a perspective of neuroimaging in a sample of symptomatically stable adolescents with EOS. Methods: Investigators conducted a double-blind randomized controlled trial using multidomain, adaptive, group psychotherapy in 28 EOS patients, who were randomly allocated into either training (group psychotherapy) or active control (health education) groups. Data of diffusion tensor imaging, and clinical symptoms were obtained at baseline and after an average of 2 hours/day, 2 days/week for 4 weeks of intervention.
People living with HIV (PLWH) frequently report sleep disturbances. The social rhythm theory, which proposes that stressful life events can interfere with sleep by disrupting the stability of daily routines, provides new insights into identifying predictors of sleep disturbances and improving sleep in PLWH. This study is a randomized controlled trial. PLWH with poor self-reported sleep quality (Pittsburgh sleep quality index>7) was randomly divided into a control group or an intervention group. The control group receives the usual care, that is, daily disease management and routine drug guidance (set as waitlist). The intervention group received a sleep promotion intervention program based on social rhythm theory, along with daily disease management and routine drug guidance. The intervention period was 8 weeks, once a week, and the duration of each intervention was about 40-60 minutes. The sleep-related outcome indicators were measured before the intervention (T0), immediately after the intervention (T1), and 3 months after the intervention (T2), and the participants' social rhythm, daytime sleepiness, sleep belief and attitude, depression, etc. were evaluated to verify the effects of the intervention. At the same time, participants who insisted on completing all intervention modules were selected from the intervention group after the end of the whole study. Self-designed satisfaction questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to understand the participants' experience and feedback on the intervention program. In addition, the investigator asked the reasons for the withdrawal of participants who withdrew from the study through an interview during the outcome period.
Objective To evaluate the effect of patient-controlled intravenous analgesia combined with different opioid receptors for gastrointestinal surgery. Methods A total of 4342 patients who underwent gastrointestinal postoperative analgesia in the first affiliated Hospital of Air Force military Medical University from May 2018 to March 2022 were collected retrospectively. The patient-controlled intravenous analgesia regimen in this study was composed of different opioid receptor drugs:sufentanil combined with nalbuphine group (SN group) and Hydromorphone combined with nalbuphine group (HN group) and single opioid receptor group: sufentanil group (S group). SN group ,HN group and S group were treated with sufentanil 100 μ g + nalbuphine 40 mg, hydromorphone 10 mg+ nalbuphine 40 mg, sufentanil 200 μ g, diluted to 100 ml, background dose 1 ml/h, PCA dose 0.5 ml, locking time 10 min. The demographic data of the three groups were collected, the number of patients with insufficient static and dynamic analgesia (VAS ≥ 4) at 24 and 48 hours after operation, the adverse reactions at 24 and 48 hours after operation, the first exhaust time and the first ambulation time were collected, evaluate the analgesic effect of combination of different opioid receptor drugs and single opioid receptor drugs in PCIA after gastrointestinal surgery.
