NCT ID: NCT03886246 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Generalized Pustular Psoriasis

Effisayilâ„¢ ON: A Study to Test Long-term Treatment With Spesolimab in People With Generalized Pustular Psoriasis Who Took Part in a Previous Study

Start date: May 27, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is open to people with generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP). People can only take part if they have completed treatment in a previous study with spesolimab (1368-0013 or 1368-0027). The goal of this study is to find out how well people with GPP tolerate long-term treatment with spesolimab. The study also tests whether spesolimab helps improve GPP symptoms and how quickly the symptoms improve after a flare-up. Every participant gets spesolimab for almost 5 years (252 weeks). Depending on their symptoms and whether they had a GPP flare during the previous trial, they get spesolimab every few weeks. When participants have a GPP flare during this trial, they get spesolimab as an infusion into a vein. Participants visit their doctors regularly. During these visits, the doctors collect information on any health problems of the participants. To assess the study endpoints, doctors regularly check participants' skin.

NCT ID: NCT03881150 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Hybrid Cardiac Rehabilitation Trial

HYCARET
Start date: May 6, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial aim to evaluate if the prevention of recurrent cardiovascular events is not inferior in the hybrid mobile and exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation programs in comparison to the standard cardiac rehabilitation program.

Start date: April 16, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Durvalumab or Placebo in Combination With Gemcitabine/Cisplatin in Patients With 1st Line Advanced Biliary Tract Cancer (TOPAZ-1)

NCT ID: NCT03873402 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

A Study of Nivolumab Combined With Ipilimumab Versus Nivolumab Alone in Participants With Advanced Kidney Cancer

Start date: June 21, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness and safety of nivolumab combined with ipilimumab compared to nivolumab monotherapy in participants with previously untreated kidney cancer that has spread.

NCT ID: NCT03858621 Completed - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Comparison of Postoperative Nociception Between NOL-guided and Standard Intraoperative Analgesia Based on Fentanyl

NOLFentanyl
Start date: March 15, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Pain is defined as an unpleasant sensory and emotional conscious experience, associated with actual or potential tissue damage. Nociception is the sympathetic response to noxious stimuli during unconsciousness. The appearance of different forms of chronic pain results from sensitization of both peripheral and central neural circuits of pain, which involves inflammatory mechanisms both at a systemic level and specifically in the peripheric and central nervous system, as observed through elevation of specific neuroinflammatory mediators, such as MCP-1, IL-1, IL-1b, and IL-10. Clinically, this sensitization expresses as hyperalgesia and allodynia, which increase postoperative pain and morbidity, but also induce permanent modifications in the nociceptive system. These effects may be ameliorated by adequately adjusting intraoperative analgesia through use of nociception/analgesia balance monitors, of which Nociception Level Index (NOL) shows convenient characteristics and promising results from previous studies. Objectives: The goal of our study is to assess the utility of NOL index monitoring against standard care for Fentanyl-based analgesia by measuring postoperative pain, sensorial thresholds and inflammatory markers related to nociception. Hypothesis: The use of NOL index to guide the intraoperative analgesia will produce less postoperative pain, hyperalgesia, allodynia, and neuroinflammation.

NCT ID: NCT03843125 Terminated - Clinical trials for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

A Study of Baricitinib in Participants With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

SLE-BRAVE-X
Start date: September 9, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The reason for this long term study is to see how safe and effective the study drug known as baricitinib is in participants with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who have completed the final treatment visit of study I4V-MC-JAHZ (NCT03616912) or study I4V-MC-JAIA (NCT03616964).

NCT ID: NCT03835806 Recruiting - Blister of Foot Clinical Trials

Blister Eradication Looking at Impact of Experimental Versus Established Regimens

BELIEVER
Start date: April 27, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The specific aim of this study is to evaluate whether RockTape has similar efficacy to Elastikon in the treatment of foot blisters in ultramarathon runners. Elastikon with paper tape and spray adhesive is a well-accepted means of blister treatment and has been used by medical staff at over 50 multi-stage ultramarathons around the world. RockTape is another commercially available product that has also been used by runners successfully to treat foot blisters. RockTape's adhesive qualities have a potential advantage over Elastikon, in that it does not require an additional adhesive substituting a level of complexity, weight, and cost for foot care. There have been no studies examining the efficacy of either agent for blister treatment. This randomized controlled trial will compare the traditional method of treating blisters with a multi-step approach of percutaneous drainage, paper tape, spray adhesive and then Elastikon to percutaneous drainage, paper tape and RockTape.

NCT ID: NCT03834519 Completed - Prostatic Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Study of Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) Plus Olaparib Versus Abiraterone Acetate or Enzalutamide in Metastatic Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC) (MK-7339-010/KEYLYNK-010)

KEYLYNK-010
Start date: May 2, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of the combination of the polyadenosine 5'-diphosphoribose poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor olaparib and pembrolizumab in the treatment of participants with mCRPC who have failed to respond to either abiraterone acetate or enzalutamide (but not both) and to chemotherapy. The primary study hypotheses are that the combination of pembrolizumab plus olaparib is superior to abiraterone acetate or enzalutamide with respect to: 1. Overall Survival (OS) and 2. Radiographic progression-free survival (rPFS) per Prostate Cancer Working Group (PCWG)-modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR) As of Amendment 06, the Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) is no longer applicable. Participants still on treatment may have the option to continue receiving study intervention or SOC if they are deriving clinical benefit, until criteria for discontinuation are met. Participants who are still on study treatment and deriving clinical benefit will no longer have tumor response assessments by BICR. However, local tumor imaging assessments should continue per SOC schedule. In addition, ePRO assessments will no longer be performed and biomarker samples will no longer be collected.
