NCT ID: NCT02545517 Active, not recruiting - Virus Diseases Clinical Trials

A Clinical Study to Evaluate Immune Responses to Rabies Vaccine in Adults Who Received Different Primary Rabies Vaccination Regimens

Start date: October 5, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Biologicals' Rabipur vaccine is indicated for active immunization against rabies in individuals of all ages. This includes pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), in both primary series and booster dose, and post exposure prophylaxis. The aim of this extension study is to evaluate the long-term (up to approx.10 years) persistence and to assess the boostability of immune responses in subjects who received a primary series of accelerated or conventional rabies PrEP IM regimen No new subjects were enrolled in this study.

NCT ID: NCT02545283 Terminated - Clinical trials for Leukemia, Myeloid, Acute

A Study of Idasanutlin With Cytarabine Versus Cytarabine Plus Placebo in Participants With Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

MIRROS
Start date: December 30, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study designed to compare overall survival in participants with relapsed or refractory AML treated with idasanutlin in combination with cytarabine versus participants treated with placebo and cytarabine. Participants will receive induction treatment with idasanutlin/placebo and cytarabine (Cycle 1). Responding participants may continue to receive a maximum of further two cycles of consolidation (Cycle 2 and Cycle 3). Complete remission (CR), CR with incomplete platelet count recovery (CRp), overall remission rate (ORR), event-free survival (EFS) and percentage of participants with an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) will also be compared between treatment arms. This study will include participants with and without TP53 wild type (TP53 WT) mutations.

NCT ID: NCT02545049 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Kidney Disease

Efficacy and Safety of Finerenone in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and the Clinical Diagnosis of Diabetic Kidney Disease

FIGARO-DKD
Start date: September 17, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether oral finerenone (study drug), in addition to standard daily therapy, is effective and safe in treating patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic kidney disease, when compared to a placebo.

NCT ID: NCT02543736 Completed - Clinical trials for Osteoarthritis, Knee

Reliability and Validity of Gait and Postural Balance Parameters

Start date: July 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) patients, have impairments in gait and balance. Accurate gait and postural balance analysis is needed to detect this impairments. Nevertheless methodological quality about the recording of gait and balance analysis in KOA patients is lacking in literature.

NCT ID: NCT02543307 Completed - Clinical trials for Musculoskeletal Diseases

Effects of Nurse-led Patient Pathways

NPP
Start date: February 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Objectives: This quasi-experimental pre-post-study investigated the effect of newly developed Nurse-led Patient Pathways (NPP) designed to improve patients`, and health care professionals` as well as institutional outcomes. Intervention: In the IG patients were cared for under the three newly developed NPP. NPP are characterized by four principles: evidence-based nursing, patient and family centered care, comprehensive discharge planning beyond hospital discharge and nurses' responsibility for patients` processes. The principles support and strengthen patient and family preferences as well as formalize nursing activities, and therefore contribute to process transparency in relation to other health care professionals. Outcomes: Primary Outcomes were defined as quality of nursing care (nursing care index, NCI), and patient satisfaction (patient satisfaction with nursing care quality, PSNCQ). Secondary outcomes were defined as 1) nursing work environment (nursing work index revised, NWI-R; and nursing workplace quality, NWQ), and 2) institutional-related costs (length of hospital stay, LOS; nursing time and nursing costs). Additionally, nurses` and other health care professionals` experiences of intervention translation will be explored.

NCT ID: NCT02542527 Completed - Lactation Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Functionality of a Fluid Filled Single Breast Pump

C88
Start date: September 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is an early (during the product development process) feasibility study. It shall evaluate the device design concept with respect to device functionality of a new fluid filled breast pump in a small number of subjects.

NCT ID: NCT02541604 Terminated - Solid Tumor Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, Immunogenicity, and Preliminary Efficacy of Atezolizumab (Anti-Programmed Death-Ligand 1 [PD-L1] Antibody) in Pediatric and Young Adult Participants With Solid Tumors

Start date: November 30, 2015
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This early phase, multicenter, open-label, single-arm study evaluated the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, and preliminary efficacy of atezolizumab in pediatric and young adult participants with solid tumors for which prior treatment was proven to be ineffective.

NCT ID: NCT02541175 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Multi-Channel Esophageal ECG Signal Classification

MC-EECG
Start date: October 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study is designed to prove new methods to enable the automated analysis of esophageal electrocardiography (eECG) signals in long-term measurements as well as the detection of atrial fibrillation. The investigators hypothesis is that eECG signals allow the reliable atrial and ventricular ECG signal distinction and the detection of atrial fibrillation. Therefore 14 patients with arrhythmias and 6 cardiac healthy subjects are asked to take part in this study. On each subject an esophageal ECG and a simultaneous standard surface ECG will be taken for about half an hour. Patient undergoing a cardiac catheter ablation during their current hospitalization will be further asked to allow access to the invasively obtained measurements (i.e. atrial potential map) to further improve the understanding of the eECG signals.

NCT ID: NCT02540993 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Disease

Efficacy and Safety of Finerenone in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Diabetic Kidney Disease

FIDELIO-DKD
Start date: September 17, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study was to demonstrate whether, in addition to standard of care, finerenone is superior to placebo in delaying the progression of kidney disease, as measured by the composite endpoint of time to first occurrence of kidney failure, a sustained decrease of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) ≥40% from baseline over at least 4 weeks, or renal death.
