There are about 9403 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Switzerland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
To investigate the use of microperimetry and SS-OCT in assessing the natural changes of retinal sensitivity and anatomy in the perilesional zone of geographic atrophy areas in patients with dry age-related macular degeneration.
The laying of a naso-gastric tube is an extremely common event in intensive medicine; although standard naso-gastric tube laying is performed at the patient's bedside, this procedure is not without risk. Through the use of methods already used in the clinical field, of daily use, we want to identify the threshold value between tracheal and esophageal etCO2 (group A) and the threshold value between gastric and esophageal pH (group B).
Neuropeptide Y (NPY) activates the sympathetic and vagal nervous systems through the Y1 and Y2 receptors. This double-blind placebo-controlled crossover study investigated the sympathovagal balance during three exercises on a cycloergometer in healthy volunteers treated with saxagliptin (DPP4 inhibitor).
UNLOCKED: A Phase 2 Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of KB195 in Subjects with a Urea Cycle Disorder with Inadequate Control on Standard of Care
To investigate the efficacy, safety and utility of hybrid closed-loop glucose control during a low carbohydrate vs. iso-energetic balanced diet in individuals with type 1 diabetes.
The aim of the HEM-POWR study is to understand better how Damoctocog alfa pegol (Jivi) is used to treat people with Hemophilia A in day-to-day life, how well the treatment is tolerated and how satisfied patients and physicians are with the treatment.
ASV mode of ventilation is an automatic mode with closed-loop control used for mechanical invasive ventilation in intubated patients. It has been studied in adult patients but not in children. This interventional physiology study will include 40 children on mechanical invasive ventilation.
The Investigators' knowledge about pre-hospital emergency intubations is still limited. Various factors such as the average and the normal range of intubation time are still unknown. Since its launch Rega videotapes all intubation attempts with the C-MAC videolaryngoscope. The investigators prospectively analysed all routinely recorded intubation videos during one year performed by the Rega crews. The investigators analysed different parameters such as first pass success rate and the time to successfully intubate alongside with others. The goal was to find out more about this difficult procedure, about the problems which regularly occur and on what should be put particular emphasis during training.
This retrospective study investigates surgical treatment of acetabular fractures in elderly patients (>60 years of age), either undergoing joint-preserving surgery or joint- replacement. 1 year- outcome with regard to mobility and autonomy is assessed.
Itch is the commonest skin-related symptom. There is increasing evidence that itch can be influenced by visual cues. The impact of colors on itch has not yet been studied. This study investigates Itch modification by color viewing and whether patients can match or counteract their itch with a color.
