Performance and Safety of the Cardiac Microcurrent Therapy System

Patients with idiopathic dilative cardiomyopathy who have systolic left ventricular dysfunction (NYHA III - IV) despite adequate therapy according treatment guidelines of heart failure and who have a baseline left ventricular ejection fraction of ≥25% and ≤35 will receive a C-MIC System and microcurrent therapy after device implantation with optimal medical management. At the end of the study after 6 months, the C-MIC System will be turned off. The control group will receive optimal medical management without device implantation.

The primary objectives of this study are the characterization of the ocular microbiome as well as of the local immune system in participants with and without dry eye disease. Secondary objectives are the identification of differences in the ocular microbiome as well as in the immune system between participants with and without dry eye disease to ultimately find associations between the ocular microbiome and the immune system in dry eye disease.

Oral Health Status in Care-dependent Community Dwelling Elders

The primary aim of this cross-sectional survey in Zurich is to assess the oral health status (OHS), Oral Health Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL), and the nutritional status (NS) of community-dwelling elders dependent for care. The secondary objective of this study evaluates whether the OHS, OHRQoL and NS are influenced by cognitive status, level of dependency, socio-economic status and level of education. The tertiary objective is to assess whether the quality of nutritional uptake (refrigerator content) by the community-dwelling elders dependent for care is influenced by OHS/function, level of dependency, cognitive impairment, socio-economic status or level of education and the proximity and/or access to food sources (supermarkets).

The goal of the study is to better understand the side effects and to find an effective therapy against them.

There is no specific therapy for acute kidney injury. It is presumed that supportive measures improve the care and outcome of patients with acute kidney injury. The investigators hypothesize that the implementation of a bundle of supportive measures adapted to patients undergoing major surgery reduces the occurrence of AKI. This randomized prospective multicenter trial is needed to investigator whether the implementation of the bundle of measures is effective to prevent AKI in high risk patients undergoing major surgery.

Cross-cultural Adaptation and Validation of the CISS and the PWES Questionnaire in Patients With Hand Pathologies.

The primary objective of the study is to do translation, cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the CISS and PWES questionnaire in French. No available translation exist in French. In the first part of the study, the investigators will use clinical guidelines for translation and cross-cultural adaptation of questionnaire (Beaton and al).The content validity will be evaluated also in this first step. In the second part of the study the French version of CISS and PWES (F-CISS and F-PWES) will be validated. Different psychometric properties (internal consistency, test retest reliability, construct validity, floor and ceiling effects) will be study. The investigators use the recommendation of COSMIN (COnsensus- based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments) group.
