NCT ID: NCT05060510 Completed - SARS-CoV2 Infection Clinical Trials

The School SPIT Study - COVID-19 Testing in Secondary Schools

Start date: September 14, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will conduct an evaluation of a program that is being implemented SickKids / Toronto Public health that provides take-home saliva testing kits in schools. Operationally, there is a planned randomization so that all schools have an equitable chance to receive the intervention at various time periods during the planned operational roll-out, which will require a staggered implementation consistent with the stepped-wedge study design. The study will leverage this chance implementation to do a robust evaluation of the public health intervention. Schools that are not being rolled out to week one, will begin in the "control phase" (testing at an assessment center) and transition to the program "intervention phase" (take home saliva kits available at schools) at a randomly assigned time (wedge) over a 6-week period with all schools receiving the program by the end of the study. The investigators will evaluate the impact of the program on SARS-CoV-2 case identification in schools.

Start date: October 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the lot-to-lot consistency in terms of immunogenicity and evaluate the safety and reactogenicity of 3 lots of the RSVPreF3 OA investigational vaccine administered as a single dose in adults ≥ 60 years of age (YOA).

NCT ID: NCT05059223 Completed - Narcolepsy Clinical Trials

SYMPHONY
Start date: September 15, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is a multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized Phase 3 trial to assess the safety and efficacy of AXS-12 in narcoleptic subjects with cataplexy and excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS).

NCT ID: NCT05058963 Completed - Clinical trials for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Virtual Mantram Program for Patients With PTSD and SUD

Start date: May 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate a virtual Mantram repetition program for adults with PTSD and substance use disorders. The program involves repetition of a personalized Mantram, which is a word or short phrase with spiritual meaning that is frequently repeated throughout the day. The program also involves slowing down thoughts and have one-pointed attention that help with stress.

NCT ID: NCT05055505 Completed - SARS-CoV2 Infection Clinical Trials

The School SPIT Study - Elementary Schools in Low COVID-19 Incidence Regions

Start date: September 14, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will conduct an evaluation of a program that is being implemented SickKids / Toronto Public health that provides take-home saliva testing kits in schools. Operationally, there is a planned randomization so that all schools have an equitable chance to receive the intervention at various time periods during the planned operational roll-out, which will require a staggered implementation consistent with the stepped-wedge study design. This study will leverage this chance implementation to do a robust evaluation of the public health intervention. Schools that are not being rolled out to week one, will begin in the "control phase" (testing at an assessment center, primary care or acute care facility) and transition to the program "intervention phase" (take home saliva kits available at schools) at a randomly assigned time (wedge) over a 6-week period with all schools receiving the program by the end of the study. The investigators will evaluate the impact of the program on SARS-CoV-2 case identification in schools.

NCT ID: NCT05054816 Completed - Hearing Loss Clinical Trials

Speech Locator In-car Performance Evaluation

Start date: February 11, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Listeners will conduct sound quality ratings of recordings talkers in a moving car processed using three different microphone processing strategies: an investigational adaptive directional microphone, an omnidirectional microphone and a fixed directional microphone. Participants will listen to the recordings streamed via commercially-available and individually-prescribed hearing aids, and conduct ratings onsite in the lab. The procedure will involve a training session and within-subject repeated measures. Stimuli will be randomized.

NCT ID: NCT05047952 Completed - Clinical trials for Cognitive Impairment

Vortioxetine for Post-COVID-19 Condition

Start date: September 16, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial will be conducted to evaluate vortioxetine, an antidepressant with established pro-cognitive properties, for the treatment of cognitive deficits which develop during or after an infection consistent with COVID-19, continue for 2+ months, and are not explained by an alternative diagnosis (i.e., post-COVID-19 condition). Participants (aged 18-64 years) will receive vortioxetine (10-20 mg) or placebo for 8 weeks. Participants 65+ years will receive vortioxetine (5-10 mg) or placebo for 8 weeks. Changes in cognitive functioning from baseline to endpoint (week 8) will be assessed via the Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST). Study visits may be conducted remotely (e.g. via Zoom, by telephone), and/or in-person.
