There are about 10004 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Brazil. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a Phase IIIb, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of chemotherapy+bevacizumab followed by bevacizumab+erlotinib versus bevacizumab+erlotinib placebo in subjects with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC.
The purpose of this study is to learn if Belatacept can provide protection from organ rejection following kidney transplantation while avoiding some of the toxic effects of standard immunosuppressive medications such as kidney damage. Effects on kidney function and patient survival as well as drug safety will also be studied.
This is a randomized, open label, parallel group, multi-centre, phase II study of progression free survival, comparing oral ZD1839 (IRESSAâ„¢) (250 mg tablet once daily) to vinorelbine 30 mg/m2 infusion on days 1 and 8 of a 21-day cycle) in chemonaïve, elderly patients with locally advanced (stage IIIB) or metastatic (stage IV) non-small cell lung cancer.
This is a long-term safety follow-up study to assess the post-treatment safety, at 12 and 24 months, in patients with type 2 diabetes after participation in the phaseII/III studies GALLANT, GALLEX and ARMOR. In addition, selected patients, including those with pre-defined laboratory or clinical findings, will have a 12-week post-treatment follow-up visit, including laboratory evaluation and adverse event recording.
To assess the efficacy and safety of PF-3512676 administered in combination with gemcitabine/cisplatin chemotherapy as first-line treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and to compare it to the efficacy and safety of gemcitabine/cisplatin alone.
Preoperative chemoradiation therapy is the preferred initial treatment option for distal rectal cancers. However, assessing tumor response to preoperative chemoradiation therapy remains a challenge to the colorectal surgeon, especially when determining if there is a complete response, observed in more than 10% of cases. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of the PET/CT in assessing distal rectal tumor response to preoperative chemoradiation therapy.
The purpose of this study is research with the goal of evaluating the effect of TMC125 (a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor) on slowing down the growth of the HIV virus. The study will also investigate whether this new medication is well tolerated, and to further confirm that the medication is safe to be used.
This is a 107-week open-label, multi-center long-term extension study from GALLANT studies 2/22, 5, 7, 8 and 14 to monitor the safety and tolerability of oral tesaglitazar 1 mg in patients with type 2 diabetes during up to 104 weeks of treatment. The total duration, including treatment and follow-up, is 107 weeks.
The aim is to evaluate if the resolution of upper abdominal symptoms (pain or burning) during an acid suppressive test trial of esomprazole given daily for 7 days predicts symptoms resolution at the end of a subsequent treatment period of 7 weeks.
The objective of this study is to determine whether rifalazil can significantly increase peak walking time (PWT) in patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
