There are about 10004 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Brazil. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of ipatasertib in combination with atezolizumab and paclitaxel in locally advanced or metastatic Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) previously untreated in this setting.
This study developed a system to quantify the functional strength of young adults without motor impairment during grip and pinch movement. Making it possible to know the accuracy of the value of these strength, the range of motion performed and whether the grip force was maintained throughout the range of motion. In addition to checking the functionality, reliability and reproducibility of the system.
This study developed a system for studying an individual's postural balance in an upright position on a force platform with controlled movement of 2-axis rotation (transverse and anteroposterior), by analyzing lower limb muscle activation and data from Pressure Center of displacement.
Given the lack of studies in the literature associating the use of acupuncture and sliding suction cup in patients with advanced knee osteoarthritis, the objective of this study is to evaluate the benefits of this association in patients of the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology outpatient clinic of the University of São Paulo while awaiting surgical treatment of knee osteoarthritis as a method of pain relief, limb function improvement and quality of life.
Erector spinae plane block (ESP block) was first described by Forero et al for the treatment of neuropathic chest pain. Total hip arthroplasty is a surgery with a high potential for severe postoperative pain, and greater attention should be paid to postoperative analgesia. There are multiple forms of postoperative analgesia for total hip arthroplasty, such as subarachnoid morphine, femoral nerve block, obturator and lateral femoral cutaneous block, lumbar plexus block, continuous epidural block, and "3 in 1" block, for example. ESP (LESP) block has emerged based on the same principle as the ESP block in the thoracic region. So far, to the best of our knowledge, there are only a few case reports that evidence its use for hip surgery analgesia. This study aimed to study the local anesthetic dispersion and the mechanism of action of the blockade. An experimental, analytical and prospective study will be carried out in which eight fresh adult human cadavers will be selected and injected with 20 ml of 0.01% methylene blue solution at L4 level. The injection will be performed with a Quincke 20G 100-150mm ultrasound-guided needle with a low-frequency curvilinear transducer (4-8 MHz - SonoSite) in the plane between the transverse process of L4 and the spinal erector muscle, bilaterally in each cadaver. by the same operator. After injection of the solution, the cadavers will be submitted to posterior lumbar region dissection by an anatomist and analyzed the dispersion and impregnation of the blue solution.
OBJECTIVES: To assess the effect of concurrent training (CT) of an eight-week on strength, power and cardiorespiratory fitness on muscle condition, balance, load distribution in the lower limbs and aerobic capacity in patients with unilateral transtibial amputation (UTA). MATERIAL AND METHODS: Twenty-six individuals with prosthesis over 3-months were selected. Patients were randomly divided into two groups. Group 1 (n = 17) denominated UTA who performed the evaluation and training recommended by the prosthesis (bodybuilding vs. aerobic interval-training on the exercise cycle ergometer). Group 2 (n = 9) denominated untrained unilateral transtibial (UUT) amputees who after the evaluation were not included for the recommended training. All patients were evaluated at the baseline time of randomization and eight weeks after
Primary Objective: - To evaluate the efficacy of BIVV001 as a prophylaxis treatment in prophylaxis treatment arm. Secondary Objectives: - To evaluate the efficacy of BIVV001 as a prophylaxis treatment. - To evaluate the efficacy of BIVV001 in the treatment of bleeding episodes. - To evaluate BIVV001 consumption for the prevention and treatment of bleeding episodes. - To evaluate the effect of BIVV001 prophylaxis on joint health outcomes. - To evaluate the effect of BIVV001 prophylaxis on Quality of Life outcomes. - To evaluate the efficacy of BIVV001 for perioperative management. - To evaluate the safety and tolerability of BIVV001 treatment. - To assess the pharmacokinetics (PK) of BIVV001 based on the 1-stage activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) and 2-stage chromogenic coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) activity assays.
The purpose of this global study was to demonstrate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of an intravenous (i.v.) regimen of secukinumab compared to placebo in participants with active ankylosing spondylitis (AS) or non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA ) at Week 16 despite current or previous non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAID), disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARD) and/or anti Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) therapy. In addition, to further support efficacy and safety of an i.v. regimen, data was collected for up to 52 weeks of treatment.
Evaluate ophthalmic artery flow by echo-Doppler before and after peribulbar block with lidocaine in presence or absence of epinephrine.
Problem: With the increased survival rate of children with congenital heart disease, other health problems, in addition to the clinic, have emerged, such as the risks of developmental delay to which these children are exposed. There is a need for low-cost intervention studies that seek to minimize these risks. Objective: To evaluate the effect of an early stimulation program using parents as vectors of intervention, on the neurodevelopment of children with CHD Methodology: Randomized clinical trial, conducted with 44 dyads of parents-babies with CH considered as medium and high risk for developmental delays according to the guidelines of the American Heart Association (2012). The study will consist of two groups G1 (Intervention) and G2 (controls). G1 parents will receive guidance for 6 weeks of stimulation activities and will be instructed to keep an online execution diary, direct with the researcher through videos, and messages via cell phone. G2 parents will receive the standard guidelines currently used in pediatric cardiology clinics. Children from both groups will be assessed at the beginning and end of the 6 weeks by the Bayley Baby and Toddler Development Scales (3rd Edition). A questionnaire on the applicability of the protocol will be administered to the parents of the intervention group Expected results: Better neuropsychomotor performance in children after applying the early stimulation protocol. Perspectives: Create a body of information that can serve as a basis for the formulation of policies for intervention and surveillance of the development of this population.
