NCT ID: NCT03529838 Terminated - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Hemodynamic and Salivary Responses of 12 Weeks of Training With Different Anti-hypertensive

Start date: March 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Different classes of antihypertensives may have different responses when associated with exercise. Thus, this study aims to compare the responses of the association of 12 weeks of aerobic exercise and weightlifting with different classes of medications in 45 postmenopausal hypertensive women.

NCT ID: NCT03529786 Completed - Clinical trials for Mucopolysaccharidosis II

Mucopolysaccharidosis Type II Natural History

Start date: September 27, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Mucopolysaccharidosis type II (MPS II), also known as Hunter syndrome, is caused by a deficiency of iduronate-2-sulfatase (IDS) leading to an accumulation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) in tissues of MPS II patients, resulting in characteristic storage lesions and diverse disease sequelae, and in patients with the more severe form of the disease, irreversible neurocognitive decline and higher morbidity and mortality than in patients with the attenuated form of the disease. There is currently limited information on the natural history of MPS II, especially with respect to neurocognitive decline in patients with the more severe form of the disease. This study is planned to be an observational medical records review study (data collected retrospectively and no investigational product treatment or procedures) in subjects with the severe form of MPS II. Collectively, the data may inform the design of future MPS II gene therapy treatment studies and may be utilized as historical comparative control data.

NCT ID: NCT03529500 Completed - Malnutrition, Child Clinical Trials

Chronic Malnutrition and Oral Health Status in Children Aged One to Five Years

Start date: February 2, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Malnutrition is a public health problem that can exert a negative impact on the general and oral health of children. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of chronic malnutrition on the oral health of children aged one to five years. An observational, analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted at the Nutritional Recovery Center and involved 82 children between 12 and 71 months of age. Nutritional status was evaluated using anthropometric indicators and oral health status was measured using the dmft index. Non-stimulated saliva was collected. Flow rate and buffering capacity was then measured with the aid of a pH meter.

NCT ID: NCT03529396 Active, not recruiting - Vivax Malaria Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of Different Regimens of Primaquine on Vivax Malaria Treatment in G6PD Deficient Patients

Start date: July 20, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A clinical study to assess the safety and efficacy of alternative regimens of primaquine for radical cure of vivax malaria in glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficient. G6PD deficient patients with P. vivax monoinfection will be treated with either weekly or delayed one-week course of primaquine, and the currently recommended by national guideline, 12-week chloroquine regimen to compare treatment safety among groups. All groups will be actively monitored for hemolysis during treatment and will have six-month follow-up period to assess treatment efficacy.

NCT ID: NCT03529110 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

DS-8201a Versus T-DM1 for Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)-Positive, Unresectable and/or Metastatic Breast Cancer Previously Treated With Trastuzumab and Taxane [DESTINY-Breast03]

Start date: August 9, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed to compare the anti-tumor activity as well as the safety and efficacy of DS-8201a versus T-DM1 in HER2-positive, unresectable and/or metastatic breast cancer subjects previously treated with trastuzumab and taxane.

NCT ID: NCT03529045 Active, not recruiting - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Registry of Subjects With Drug Resistant Epilepsy and Treated With the VNS Therapy System.

CORE-VNS
Start date: February 5, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Multicenter global post-market registry of subjects diagnosed with drug resistant epilepsy and treated with the VNS Therapy System.

NCT ID: NCT03528551 Completed - Clinical trials for Congenital Bleeding Disorder

A Research Study Looking at How a Factor VIII Medicine Called Turoctocog Alfa Pegol (N8-GP) Works in People With Haemophilia A

pathfinder8
Start date: April 30, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will look at how a known study medicine N8-GP works in previously N8-GP treated people with haemophilia A. The aim is to look at how N8-GP works during regular use. Participants will get N8-GP. N8-GP has been tested in more than 200 people with haemophilia A for several years. Participants will get an injection of N8-GP into a blood vessel, one, two or three times weekly. Participants will get more doses if they bleed or if they will need a surgery. The study will last for about 2 years. Participants will have at least 9 visits with the study doctor. If participants agree to be in this study, they will get their first injection (in this study) at the first visit. Participants will also get an injection at visit 3, 5 and 7. Participants will be trained to give all other injections themselves. Participants must not use any clotting factors other than N8-GP or any anticoagulants (blood thinners) during the study.

NCT ID: NCT03528499 Completed - Shoulder Pain Clinical Trials

Scapular Movement Training Versus General Exercises for Individuals With Shoulder Pain

Start date: August 21, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Interventions focused on the scapula have been frequently used to treat shoulder pain. However, most studies do not assess the contribution of scapular movement alteration for the symptoms. Objectives: To compare the effects of two interventions for shoulder pain: Scapular Movement Training and General Exercises.

NCT ID: NCT03528356 Recruiting - Tooth Discoloration Clinical Trials

Impact of Dietary Counseling on Efficacy of Tooth Bleaching

Start date: May 30, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study will be to evaluate if subjects submitted to a white diet counseling during home dental bleaching will present better results than subjects that maintained their usual diets. Forty patients will be divided into two groups and randomly allocated to each group: usual diet (control) or white diet, avoiding dye-containing food and beverages. patients will be assessed through a food frequency questionnaire and color measurement using a spectrophotometer at baseline and six months after bleaching.
