The purpose of this study is to determine whether quetiapine when used as adjunct to lithium or divalproex is safe and effective in the maintenance treatment of adult patients with Bipolar I Disorder. The study consists of enrollment and 2 phases, the Open-label treatment Phase and the Randomized treatment Phase. PLEASE NOTE: Seroquel SR and Seroquel XR refer to the same formulation. The SR designation was changed to XR after consultation with FDA.

A Study to Assess the Effect of Tocilizumab + Methotrexate on Signs and Symptoms in Patients With Moderate to Severe Active Rheumatoid Arthritis

This 3 arm study will compare the safety and efficacy, with regard to reduction of signs and symptoms, of tocilizumab versus placebo, both in combination with methotrexate (MTX). in patients with moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who currently have an inadequate response to MTX. Patients wil be randomized to receive tocilizumab 4mg/kg iv, tocilizumab 8mg/mg iv, or placebo iv, every 4 weeks; all patients will also receive methotrexate 10-25mg weekly. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months, and the target sample size is 500+ individuals.

This study will compare the effect of A4I antagonist and placebo on MRI lesions,on clinical endpoints, and safety in patients with relapsing Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Eligible patients will be randomized to receive placebo or A4I antagonist, 20mg, 80mg or 300mg, po bid. Patients will undergo MRI brain scans and MS clinical evaluations at intervals throughout the study. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months, and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.

SB497115 is an oral agent which activates the thrombopoietin receptor and increases platelet counts in healthy volunteers. This study is examining several different doses of SB497115 versus placebo as treatment for patients with advanced solid tumors scheduled to receive chemotherapy with carboplatin and paclitaxel every 21 days. Patients will receive SB497115 on days 2-11 of each 21 day cycle for at least 2 cycles of chemotherapy and for a maximum of 8 cycles of chemotherapy.
