There are about 13446 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Belgium. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of different routes of local anaesthesia administration in laparoscopic procedures to reduce post-operative pain (intra-peritoneal infusion of Ropivacaine 0.75%, port site injection of Ropivacaine 0.75% or a combination of both techniques), through a randomized one-center double-blinded study.
The primary objective for this trial is to determine the effect of GB002 (seralutinib) on improving pulmonary hemodynamics in subjects with World Health Organization (WHO) Group 1 PAH who are Functional Class (FC) II and III. The secondary objective for this trial is to determine the effect of GB002 (seralutinib) on improving exercise capacity in this population.
In pediatric cardiac surgery, transfusion requirements are associated with age, development status, pathology, type of surgical intervention and extracorporeal bypass. In adult cardiac surgery, reinterventions (redo)are clearly linked to higher transfusion rates. The investigators want to study if this association is also true in pediatric cardiac surgery.
This is an efficacy and safety study of olaparib alone or in combination with bevacizumab being compared to bevacizumab with a fluoropyrimidine in participants with unresectable or metastatic colorectal cancer who have not progressed following first-line induction. The primary hypotheses are: Olaparib + Bevacizumab is superior to a fluoropyrimidine + Bevacizumab with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) using Response Evaluation Criteria In Solid Tumors version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR); Olaparib is superior to a fluoropyrimidine + Bevacizumab with respect to PFS using RECIST 1.1 as assessed by BICR. As of amendment 5 study enrollment is being discontinued and study participants randomized to one of the two experimental arms (olaparib plus bevacizumab or olaparib monotherapy) must discontinue study intervention. Participants who are still on study treatment will no longer have tumor response assessments by BICR.
Propofol is often used for sedation in children undergoing magnetic resonance imaging. The investigators will perform a chart review of 4 month of activity (about 100 cases) and review the incidence and severity of adverse events of this sedation technique.
The choice of the best surgical technique for urethral stricture repair depends on the stricture length. Estimating the length of urethral strictures is therefore of utmost importance. Different clinical studies have proven that SUG has a higher sensitivity to evaluate the length of urethral strictures compared to RUG or VCUG. The goal of this study is to assess the feasibility of using SUG as single pre-operative assessment tool in patients with suspicion of anterior urethral strictures. In this way, use of RUG and/or VCUG could be omitted in the pre-operative work-up of patients with anterior urethral strictures, thereby avoiding significant radiation load of patients.
Open Label, Single-Dose, Crossover Study To Assess The Bioequivalence Under Fed And Fasted Conditions Of The Fesoterodine Beads-In-Capsule (BIC) SR4 And SR7 Formulations And To Estimate The Bioavailability of SR7 Beads Sprinkled On Apple Sauce Relative To The Beads-In-Capsule SR7 Formulation Administered Intact.
Recent studies show an important influence of gender on inflammatory reactions. Cardiac surgery is associated with a major systemic inflammatory response. The investigators want to evaluate the gender influence on morbi-mortality in pediatric cardiac surgery patients.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of seltorexant, compared to placebo, as an add-on medication to an antidepressant, on next-day driving performance as assessed by the mean difference of standard deviation of lateral position (SDLP) from an on-road driving test in participants with major depressive disorder (MDD).
Exercise training is beneficial for both health and performance. Histamine has been shown to be involved in the acute exercise response. The current study addresses the role of histamine H1/H2 receptor signaling in the chronic training-induced adaptations. Results from this study will yield more insights into the molecular mechanisms of adaptations to exercise training.
