NCT ID: NCT04882891 Active, not recruiting - Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Trials

Holter of Movement in Patients With Multiple Sclerosis in Uncontrolled Environment.

Start date: March 9, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

ActiSEP is a multicentric academic study. Ambulant patients with multiple sclerosis may be included on a voluntary basis. The investigators plan to include a group of approximately 80 patients with MS, fulfilling the McDonald's 2017 criteria, of whom 40 of them show a progressive course according to the Lublin classification. The investigators have planned two visits (at baseline and 1 year later). On both visits, participants will perform few tests (timed 25-Foot Walk (T25-FW), 9-Hole Peg Test (9-HPG), 6-minutes walk test (6MWT), Berg balance scale) and will answer to some questionaires (Godin Leisure Time Exercice Questionnaire, multiple sclerosis walking scale, modified fatigue impact scale, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale) After each visit, participants will wear Actimyo for three months in daily living.

NCT ID: NCT04880174 Active, not recruiting - SARS-CoV Infection Clinical Trials

SARS-COV-2 Seroprevalence and Seroconversion Among Employees of the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel Following mRNA COVID-19 Vaccination

Start date: March 22, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A novel zoonotic coronavirus was discovered in Wuhan (Hubei Province, China) mid-December 2019 and was named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus rapidly spread to the rest of the world, including Europe and explicitly affects the respiratory system, generating Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This study is a monocentric interventional prospective and retrospective cohort study. After signing a written informed consent, participants will be recruited for questionnaire completion and blood sampling. Sample storage and analysis will be performed at the laboratory of microbiology of the UZ Brussel. To document SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence and seroconversion among employees of the UZ Brussel after mRNA vaccination for SARS-CoV-2, namely at 8 weeks after first vaccination, 6 months after first vaccination and 12 months after first vaccination.

NCT ID: NCT04864795 Active, not recruiting - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Cardiovascular and Renal Treatment in Heart Failure Patients With Hyperkalaemia or at High Risk of Hyperkalaemia

CARE-HK
Start date: April 19, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The CARE-HK in HF is a registry study based on the hypothesis that adherence to guidelines is associated with improved real-world outcomes for heart failure (HF) patients. For the purpose of this study, adherence to guidelines is defined as adherence to RAASi treatment recommendations, according to the AHA/ACC and ESC guidelines. Objectives relating to patiromer effectiveness will only be evaluated if a sufficient number of patients are available. The study aims to evaluate in patients at high risk of hyperkalaemia; patients treated with ACEi/ARB/ARNi, and either treated with or candidates for treatment with MRA.

NCT ID: NCT04860830 Active, not recruiting - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

CONNEX-3: A Study to Test Whether Iclepertin Improves Learning and Memory in People With Schizophrenia

Start date: June 18, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is open to adults with schizophrenia. Schizophrenia can affect the way a person thinks, their memory and their mental functioning. Examples include struggling to remember things, or to read a book or pay attention to a movie. Some people have difficulty calculating the right change or planning a trip so that they arrive on time. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called iclepertin improves learning and memory in people with schizophrenia. Participants are put into two groups randomly, which means by chance. One group takes iclepertin tablets and the other group takes placebo tablets. Placebo tablets look like iclepertin tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants take a tablet once a day for 26 weeks. In addition, all participants take their normal medication for schizophrenia. During this time, doctors regularly test learning and memory of the participants by use of questionnaires, interviews, and computer tests. The results of the mental ability tests are compared between the groups. Participants are in the study for about 8 months and visit the study site about 14 times. During this time, doctors regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.

NCT ID: NCT04854070 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Complex Coronary Lesions

Intravascular Ultrasound Guidance for Complex High-risk Indicated Procedures

IVUS-CHIP
Start date: November 2, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The IVUS CHIP trial is a post-marketing strategy study in which patients with complex coronary lesions, undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), are treated either with intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) guided PCI or angiographic guided PCI . The IVUS-guided PCI approach is indicated to reduce the frequency of target-lesion failure (cardiac death, target-vessel myocardial infarction, and clinically indicated target-lesion revascularization) in patients with complex coronary lesions undergoing PCI. The objective of this study is to assess the superiority of an IVUS-guided approach versus an angio-guided approach in patients with complex coronary lesions undergoing PCI.
