There are about 13446 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Belgium. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The scientific objective of this research implies developing and examining the clinimetric properties of the Dutch Pediatric Neurophysiology of Pain Questionnaire (PedNPQ) in healthy children. A total study sample of 60 healthy children (30 from 2nd and 3rd primary school) will be included to measure test-retest reliability of the Pediatric Neurophysiology of Pain Questionnaire (PedNPQ). Children will be asked to fill in the questionnaire twice, with a time interval of 48 hours (assessment T0 and T1). In order to assess concurrent validity of the PedNPQ, 30 children (15 from 2nd and 3rd primary school) as well as their parent will receive a pediatric Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) session. It is hypothesized that if the developed PedNPQ is valid, children who received PNE will perform better than children receiving no PNE. To reduce the participant's workload, all assessments will be done immediately after the school hours or during recreation, in the primary school of the participant.
At the start of the controlled ovarian stimulation as a part of the IVF/ICSI treatment patients are informed about this trial. In case they gave informed consent and they have a progesterone level between 1 and 1.5 ng/ml at the day of the hCG injection, they will be randomised. One group of patients will have a fresh embryo transfer, in the second group all embryos will be cryopreserved and transfered in a subsequent (natural or artificial) cycle. The aim of this study is to compare clinical pregnancy rate between the two groups.
The purpose of this Phase 2, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of an oral treatment regimen of CC-220 versus placebo in adult subjects with active systemic lupus erythematosus. Approximately 280 subjects with a documented diagnosis of SLE will be randomized 2:2:1:2 to receive CC-220 (0.45 mg QD, 0.3 mg QD or 0.15 mg QD) or identically appearing placebo.
This clinical fase IV study, using the administration of a single dose of a quadrivalent, inactivated, split influenza virus vaccine as biological intervention will mirror a study conducted at Imperial College, London, UK that will use a challenge with live virus as intervention. Comparison of the clinical observations and laboratory measurements generated in both studies will inform us about the similarities and differences in innate and adaptive immune responses elicited by both types of exposure to influenza virus antigen(s).

The purpose of this randomised, multicentre, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase Ib/IIa study is to assess the safety, tolerability and efficacy of eASCs (Cx611) administered intravenously as adjunctive therapy, therefore in addition to standard of care (SoC) therapy, to patients with severe community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (sCABP). The completion of this study will contribute to the basic knowledge on stem cells and their mode-of-action, and has a large translational character, i.e. to document the safety and explore the efficacy of Cx611 in patients with sCABP.

The purpose of this study is to characterize performance of the MARVEL algorithm downloaded into the MicraTM TPS to provide atrial synchronous ventricular pacing in subjects with AV block. A sub-study will be conducted within the Marvel study, the purpose of this study is to characterize the MARVEL algorithm in patients who were enrolled in the MARVEL study, and to collect and compare the accelerometer signals and AV synchrony at a second point in time.
