There are about 6915 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Austria. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to determine if adding dapagliflozin to insulin is a safe and effective therapy to improve glycemic control in patients with type 1 diabetes.
Study AFF011 is a randomized controlled parallel Group phase I study to investigate the safety and tolerability of two doses of the vaccine AFFITOPE® PD03A given to patients with early Parkinson's disease. In total 36 patients will be enrolled in 3 independent groups (2 treatment groups, 1 Placebo group), each consisting of 12 patients. The patients will be randomized to either receive 15µg or 75µg AFFITOPE® PD03A formulated with adjuvant or the reference substance without active component (Placebo). Over a study duration of 52 weeks, the study participants receive 4 injections as basic immunization in a 4-weekly interval and 1 boost immunization 36 weeks after the first injection. Male and female patients aged 45 to 70 years can participate in the trial. 2 study sites in Austria (Innsbruck and Vienna) will be involved. AFF011 is part of a project SYMPATH funded by the European Commission (FP7-HEALTH-2013-INNOVATION-1 project; N° HEALTH-F4-2013-602999).
The purpose of this study in HCV genotype 4-infected subjects with compensated cirrhosis is to assess the safety and to compare the percentage of subjects achieving a 12-week sustained virologic response (SVR12), [HCV ribonucleic acid (RNA) < lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) 12 weeks following treatment], to a clinically relevant threshold [based on SVR rates for HCV genotype 4-infected subjects treated with pegylated interferon (pegIFN)/RBV]. The 12 and 16-week arms have been fully enrolled. As of 19 May 2015, they were closed and the two 24-week arms were opened for enrollment.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of ibrutinib in combination with obinutuzumab compared to chlorambucil in combination with obinutuzumab based on the Independent Review Committee (IRC) assessment of progression free survival (PFS). Efficacy will be evaluated according to 2008 International Workshop for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (IWCLL) criteria with the modification for treatment-related lymphocytosis, in subjects with treatment-naive CLL or SLL.
A six courses regimen consisting of a 8 hour infusion (ch14.18/CHOmAb 20 mg/m²) for five consecutive days will be administered every 4 weeks, starting 60-180 days after previous haploidentical stem cell transplantation. Interleukin 2 will be added to cycles 4-6 at days 6,8,10 (1 x 106 IU/m²/d s.c.) Participants will be premedicated with an intravenous antihistamine and ranitidine within approximately 30 minutes prior and during the infusion of the study agent Pain as an anticipated side effect is managed by a standard pain prophylaxis with Morphium hydrochloride Disease status will be evaluated after 3 and 6 courses and after 1 year
The objective of this study is to assess efficacy and safety of radium 223 dichloride in subjects with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) negative hormone receptor positive breast cancer with bone metastases treated with exemestane and everolimus After implementation of CSP Amendment 10, only a limited number of subjects will remain in this study, in order to reduce the burden to study subjects, collection of data will be reduced and will focus mainly on acute safety, SSE, and OS. Once subjects are rolled over, the long-term safety will be collected and assessed entirely in the separate extended safety follow-up study.
The main objective of the study is to evaluate whether the extended duration fidaxomicin therapy is superior to the standard vancomycin therapy in sustained clinical cure of CDI at 30 days after end of treatment (Day 40 or Day 55).
The objective of this extension study is to evaluate the long-term safety of treatment with DE-109 (440 μg) in subjects with non-infectious uveitis of the posterior segment of the eye who have participated in the SAKURA development program.
This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and antiviral efficacy of ledipasvir/sofosbuvir (LDV/SOF) fixed-dose combination (FDC) for 12 or 24 weeks in adults with chronic genotype 1 or genotype 4 hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection who have had a kidney transplant.
