The purpose of this pivotal Phase III study is to support the registration of canakinumab for the indication of gout in China, a replicate of global studies CACZ885H2356 & CACZ885H2357 by demonstrating in patients with frequent flares of gout for whom NSAIDs and/or colchicine are contraindicated, not tolerated or ineffective, canakinumab 150 mg s.c. given upon acute gout flares relieves the signs and symptoms and prevents recurrence of gout flares compared to triamcinolone acetonide 40 mg i.m.

To determine the efficacy of high dose folic acid supplementation for prevention of preeclampsia in women with at least one risk factor: pre-existing hypertension, pre-pregnancy diabetes (type 1 or 2), twin pregnancy, preeclampsia in a previous pregnancy, or body mass index ≥35. It was hypothesized that high dose (4.0 mg per day) supplementation starting in early pregnancy and continued throughout the entire pregnancy will lower the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women at high risk of developing preeclampsia.

This open-label, randomized, multicenter study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of bevacizumab (Avastin) in combination with standard of care (SOC) treatment in participants with advanced non-squamous NSCLC. Participants will be enrolled at documentation of progression of disease (PD) after 4-6 cycles of first-line treatment with bevacizumab plus a platinum doublet-containing therapy and a minimum of two cycles of bevacizumab maintenance treatment prior to PD. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two treatment arms to receive either bevacizumab plus SOC treatment or SOC treatment alone.
