Feasibility and Safety of Bile Duct Clearance by Transcystic Sphincter of Oddi Balloon Dilatation

To investigate feasibility and safety of intraoperative bile duct clearance by sphincter of Oddi balloon dilatation via cystic duct at cholecystectomy. Primary endpoint: rate of successful bile duct stone clearance (feasibility). Secondary endpoints (safety): rate of peri-interventional complications (injury to the common bile duct, bleeding, injury to surrounding organs: stomach, duodenum, liver) and short-term postoperative complications (bile leak, cholangitis, lipasaemia, pancreatitis, pneumonia). Duration of procedure. Length of hospital stay.

Complications After Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography

To compare the effects of volume-oriented versus flow-oriented incentive spirometry on pulmonary function tests and functional capacity in patients of upper abdominal laparoscopic surgery. Previous studies were designed to target only spirometer without focusing on its different types and their effects. This study covers the research gap and therefore is designed to observe effects of different types of spirometer on pulmonary function of patients undergoing upper abdominal laparoscopic surgery.

Treatment of Choledocolithiasis by Laparoscopic Exploration

There are three treatment options for choledocholithiasis: endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) followed by laparoscopic cholecystectomy; laparoscopic exploration of the main bile duct with concomitant cholecystectomy; and open cholecystectomy with exploration of the main bile duct. A retrospective, descriptive, observational study was taken of patients with a diagnosis of cholecystocholedocholithiasis that failed ERCP and who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy with exploration of the bile duct.

A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Study of 3D Laparoscopy Versus Endoscopy in the Treatment of Choledocholithiasis

The incidence of choledocholithiasis is gradually rising with the increase of gallstone incidence. The popular minimally invasive treatment options include endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE). Currently, three-dimensional (3D) video system for laparoscopy is developed to ofer surgeon a superior depth perception and a much better user experience, thus potential increasing operation accuracy and stability. It have suggested that compared with 2D laparoscopy, 3D laparoscopy can effectively reduce operation time and numbers of errors. However, rare experimental studies are performed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of 3D laparoscopy in choledocholithiasis patients. The aim of this study is to compare the perioperative outcomes between 3D laparoscopy and ERCP in choledocholithiasis patients through a multicenter randomized controlled design.

[objective] to compare the efficacy of Danshu capsule and ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) in preventing recurrence of choledocholithiasis after operation. [methods] one hundred and fifty ERCP patients with choledocholithiasis were randomly divided into two groups: Danshu group (n = 75) and UDCA group (n = 75). The Danshu group took 2 Danshu capsules three times a day, and the UDCA group took 250 mg of Ursofalk twice a day. The clinical efficacy, changes of liver function indexes before and after treatment and stone recurrence were compared between the two groups.
