NCT ID: NCT00005162 Completed - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Epidemiology of Decline in Heart Disease Mortality

Start date: August 1983
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To continue a study of premature coronary heart disease mortality among men and women aged 35-54 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

NCT ID: NCT00005161 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Longitudinal Twin Study - Cohort Study of Blood Pressure

Start date: August 1983
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To analyze the genetic and environmental contributions of juvenile hemodynamic determinants of blood pressure, including cardiac output and systemic vascular pressure, to adult cardiovascular risk.

NCT ID: NCT00005160 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Women (Healthy Women Study)

Start date: April 1983
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To determine cardiovascular risk factors and the change in risk factors during and following the menopause.

NCT ID: NCT00005159 Completed - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

National Longitudinal Mortality Study (NLMS)

Start date: July 1983
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To estimate probabilities of death by cause for a representative United States population, according to age, sex, race, occupation, industry, income, education, residence, country of birth, calendar year, and a number of other demographic and epidemiologic factors. The representative population is derived from selected Bureau of the Census files and is matched to the National Death Index maintained by the National Center for Health Statistics. The Bureau of the Census provides the data processing, coding and management necessary to complete this objective.

NCT ID: NCT00005158 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Segregation/Linkage Analysis for Hypertension

Start date: July 1982
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To determine the genetic components of hypertension using a series of simulation experiments designed to determine the power and validity of the then recently developed methods of segregation and linkage analysis.

NCT ID: NCT00005157 Completed - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Speech Characteristics in Coronary Heart Disease

Start date: July 1982
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To improve the predictive validity of Structured Interview assessments of Type A behavior by comparing interviewer techniques in the Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial (MRFIT) and the Western Collaborative Group Study (WCGS). To assess whether there were interviewer differences in the predictiveness of Type A behavior and its components for coronary heart disease incidence in MRFIT and WCGS and if so, to assess whether the interviewer differences in disease predictiveness were related to interviewer stylistics.

NCT ID: NCT00005156 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Mortality Surveillance of MRFIT Screenees

Start date: April 1982
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To ascertain the sixteen year mortality status of the 361,662 middle-aged men screened in 1973-1975 for the Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial (MRFIT).

NCT ID: NCT00005155 Completed - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Physiological and Psychosocial Correlates of Type A Behavior

Start date: February 1982
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To test the physiological and psychosocial correlates of Type A behavior.

NCT ID: NCT00005154 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey IV (NHANES (IV)

Start date: July 1981
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To supplement the fourth National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey protocol to include data on the common heart, vascular, lung, and blood diseases.

NCT ID: NCT00005153 Completed - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Etiologic Risk Factors of Cardiovascular Malformations

Start date: December 1980
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To identify genetic and environmental risk factors for congenital cardiac disease.
