Are Non-participants of Conventional Centre-based Cardiac Rehabilitation Willing to Participate in Cardiac Telerehabilitation?

Patients who are eligible for cardiac rehabilitation but do not want to participate will be offered to participate in an interview (part A of the study) or a tablet questionnaire (part B of the study). Goal is to identify main barriers for conventional rehabilitation as well as to assess willingness to participate in cardiac telerehabilitation, main barriers and willingness-to-pay for cardiac telerehabilitation.

Effect of Walking Exercise on Functional Capacity and Productivity in Patients After Coronary Artery Bypass Graft

The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the effect of walking exercise on functional capacity and productivity in patients after Coronary Artery Bypass Graft who have completed phase II cardiac rehabilitation. The main question it aims to answer are: 1. What is the effect of walking exercise on functional capacity and productivity in patients after Coronary Artery Bypass Graft? Participants performed the exercise on the day agreed upon with the researcher. Respondents did walking exercises 3 times per week for 4 weeks with a duration of 10 minutes of warm-up, 30 minutes of walking exercises, and 10 minutes of cooling down. Respondents also did leg straightening every day for 4 weeks with a frequency of 1 time a day for 10 minutes. Researchers compared between intervention and control group to see if the effect between respondents who did walking and leg straightening exercises and also respondents who only did leg straightening.

Factors Related to Participation in Cardiac Rehabilitation in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome

Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is one of the most important causes of mortality and morbidity all over the world. Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is a crucial part of secondary prevention and optimal care of patients with ACS. However, the participation rate in CR after ACS is far from expected. In our study, we will aim to examine the rate of participation in cardiac rehabilitation and the factors affecting it in patients followed up for acute coronary syndrome in the coronary intensive care unit of our hospital. Our main hypothesis is that the lower rate of participation in cardiac rehabilitation in patients with acute coronary syndrome is associated with one or more of that older age, female gender, multimorbidity, poor functional capacity, lower health literacy level or quality of life levels.

The Clinical Effect of Adaptive Posture-balance Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise on Cardiovascular Diseases

The whole experiment included one-month APBCRE therapy and two assessments. The one-month APBCRE consisted of twelve exercise sessions, evenly three times per week. At baseline and after rehabilitation, participants underwent one assessment, including car-diopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), resting metabolic rate (RMR) detection, and quality of life questionnaire (QoL). The primary outcomes were exercise capacity measured by function parameters at anaerobic threshold (AT) and other CPET physiological indexes. The secondary endpoints were the RMR level and QoL score.

The Intelligent Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation System: A Feasibility Study

The Intelligent Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation System (ICRS) was developed to automatically control the resistance of pedaling in combination with the conventional stationary bike by monitoring the user's heart rate for clinical use. To test its feasibility, 8 healthy participants were recruited to complete 12 sessions (3 times per week for 4 weeks) of indoor cycling on the stationary bicycle with ICRS. Subjects were received cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) before and after the biking sessions.The 60-80% of heart rate reserve (HRR) of each participant was determined according to their first CPET results. The algorithm of ICRS was designed to enable the bicycle to adjust its training intensity in accordance with the subject's 60-80% HRR which was detected by wearing a wristband heart rate monitor during cycling. With ICRS, the participants' heart rates during training were expected to fall in the 60-80% HRR, increasing their cardiopulmonary fitness after 12 sessions of indoor cycling.

The 6-minute walk test is a test of physical performance in physiotherapy with lungs and heart patients (Pollentier 2010). However, only 8 and 11% of patients in everyday test situations report a score of 7 or higher on a scale of 0-10 for effort (Jehn 2009). This study is intended to explore, based on grounded theory, why the majority of patients do not assess themselves according to the almost maximum performance.
