NCT ID: NCT01999673 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Phase 3 Study of Bavituximab Plus Docetaxel Versus Docetaxel Alone in Patients With Late-stage Non-squamous Non-small-cell Lung Cancer

SUNRISE
Start date: December 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of this research study is to see whether adding bavituximab (an investigational drug) to the standard chemotherapy drug docetaxel, will improve the results of the treatment for non-small-cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01988493 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Hepatocellular

Efficacy, Safety, and Pharmacokinetic of MSC2156119J in Asian Participants With Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Start date: January 6, 2014
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, integrated, Phase 1b/2 trial to determine the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) and to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic of MSC2156119J as first-line treatment versus sorafenib in subjects with MET+, Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) Stage C, systemic treatment naive advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and Child-Pugh class A liver function.

NCT ID: NCT01985958 Completed - Clinical trials for Histological or Cytological Diagnosis of Pancreatic Carcinoma

A Pilot Study to Evaluate Radiotherapy-Induced Anti-Tumor Immunity in Metastatic Carcinoma of the Pancreas

Start date: July 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objective: To estimate the rate at which radiotherapy to the primary or a metastatic lesion produces an immune response in patients with metastatic carcinoma of the pancreas. Secondary Objectives: To characterize the kinetics of an immune response induced by radiotherapy. To characterize the dependency of the immune response on prior exposure to chemotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT01984359 Completed - Clinical trials for Subjects With p16 Positive/HPV Positive Squamous Cell Carcinomas of the Oropharynx

HPV Serum DNA Levels Predicting Outcome in p16+ Squamous Cell Head and Neck Cancer

Start date: May 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To assess in an exploratory manner, the pronostic utility for locoregional control, progression-free and distant metastasis-free survival of a pre-therapy and post-therapy blood DNA test of HPV E6 and E7 DNA for subtypes 16 and 18 in p16+ and/or HPV+ oropharyngeal cancer patients. This will entail analysis of both initial pre-therapy HPV level as a continuous variable and initial post-therapy HPV level as a dichotomous variable.

NCT ID: NCT01984242 Completed - Clinical trials for Renal Cell Carcinoma

A Study of Atezolizumab (an Engineered Anti-Programmed Death-Ligand 1 [PD-L1] Antibody) as Monotherapy or in Combination With Bevacizumab (Avastin®) Compared to Sunitinib (Sutent®) in Participants With Untreated Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma

IMmotion150
Start date: January 8, 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This multicenter, randomized, open-label study will evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of atezolizumab as monotherapy or in combination with bevacizumab versus sunitinib in participants with histologically confirmed, inoperable, locally advanced or metastatic renal cell carcinoma who have not received prior systemic therapy either in the adjuvant or metastatic setting.

NCT ID: NCT01982097 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

Sorafenib as Neoadjuvant Therapy Before Cytoreductive Nephrectomy in Patients With Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

SANE
Start date: January 10, 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This local, prospective, multicenter, non-interventional study documents observational data on patients under routine treatment of metastatic RCC with Nexavar before and after cytoreductive nephrectomy. It's planned to better understand the impact of cytoreductive nephrectomy on Nexavar efficacy and possibly to define patients who get the most benefit from Nexavar before cytoreductive nephrectomy.

NCT ID: NCT01975363 Completed - Clinical trials for Ductal Breast Carcinoma in Situ

Pilot Study of Curcumin for Women With Obesity and High Risk for Breast Cancer

Start date: June 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized pilot clinical trial studies a nanoemulsion formulation of curcumin in reducing inflammatory changes in breast tissue in obese women at high risk for breast cancer. Curcumin may reduce inflammation in breast tissue and fat. This may affect the risk of developing breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01974661 Completed - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Phase I Safety Study of Dendritic Cell Vaccine to Treat Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Start date: October 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to answer the question "Is it possible to inject the COMBIG-DC vaccine in a hepatic tumor without getting unacceptable side effects"?
