Filter by:GIM22-ERICA is a clinical trial investigating the efficacy of two different strategies in HER2 negative MBC treatment. The study will include MBC patients with histologically documented HER2 negative disease, who have progressed to one prior regimen for metastatic disease and are eligible for a second-line chemotherapy with either eribulin or capecitabine. This study design should answer to different questions: - What is the correct placement of Eribulin in the context of a long term treatment strategy? - Is an early use of Eribulin the best approach for MBC pts treatment? - May early use of Eribulin impact on subsequent treatment outcomes? The correlated biomarkers analysis, evaluating angiogenic, epithelial and mesenchymal markers should confirm the results observed in preclinical studies ad support the clinical findings. Liquid biopsies and ctDNA evaluation could help to monitor the course of the disease and to identify novel biomarkers of drug resistance.
There are controversies about breast implant-based reconstruction techniques. Our center pioneered single-port insufflation endoscopic nipple-sparing mastectomy (SIE-NSM) combined with stage I prosthesis reconstruction. The study's primary objective is to compare single-port endoscopic NSM combined with pre-pectoral breast reconstruction to the subpectoral breast reconstruction group regarding breast satisfaction. This study is an ambispective cohort study. The study will be conducted at Beijing Friendship Hospital, affiliated with Capital Medical University. Patients will be enrolled retrospectively from January 2014 to March 2022 by reviewing the medical records and recruited prospectively from March 2022 to March 2025. The two cohorts are the pre-pectoral breast reconstruction cohort and the subpectoral breast reconstruction cohort, both following single-port insufflation endoscopic nipple-sparing mastectomy. The primary outcome of this study is postoperative breast satisfaction, which the BREAST-Q score will measure. The different variables will be compared using the Χ2 test for categorical variables and the Mann-Whitney test for continuous variables.
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Disitamab vedotin (RC48-ADC) as salvage treatment in patients with HER2-low advanced breast cancer who have received up to one previous chemotherapy for recurrent or metastatic disease without previous use of antibody-drug conjugate.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are lipid bilayer-delimited particles, naturally released from the cells and mediators of intercellular cross-talk. In breast cancer (BC), EVs seem to be involved in the tumor microenvironment's shaping, in cancer cells invasion and in the set-up of metastasis. Clinical studies have provided initial evidence that EVs may have a prognostic and predictive value in breast cancer. Considering their presence in body fluids and their minimally invasive assessment through blood sampling, EVs could be liquid biopsy-derived biomarkers. Their quantification could be a complex challenge, requiring complicated and time-consuming pre-analytical procedures of EVs isolation. A new method for the detection of tumor-derived-EVs associated proteins is based on the use of Single Molecule Array (SiMoA), a digital ELISA technology able to detect and quantify extremely low concentrations of target proteins or particles. The aim of this study is to evaluate how this new technology can allow the quantification EVs plasma levels in patients affected by BC, providing useful diagnostic and prognostic information about the efficacy of the neoadjuvant treatment.
The primary objective of this phase I study is to evaluate the safety and potential efficacy and to determine the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of CBP-1019, a bi-specific ligand conjugated drugs in patients with advanced solid tumors.
In the study that was conducted from 05.01.2009 - 31.12.2012. 120 patients were examined. By drawing random numbers, the patients were randomized into 3 groups for postoperative analgesia: 1. Diclofenac 2 mg/kg/day - control, 2. Wound infiltration via wound catheter with catheter tip placed in the axilla, 3*0.5 mg/kg 0.5% levobupivacaine bolus dose. 3. 0.05 mg/kg/h 0.5% levobupivacaine continuously via wound infiltration catheter with catheter tip placed in the axilla. The drug was delivered using a PCA pump for 24 hours. The aim was to compare early postoperative outcomes - pain control on a visual analog scale of 1-10, hand grip strength, and quality of life after surgery and after 1 year. Long-term survival was examined subsequently, from the hospital register.

An open-label, multicenter, phase IIIb, single-arm study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the combination of ribociclib and standard adjuvant endocrine therapy (ET) on invasive breast cancer-free survival (iBCFS), in a wide patient population with HR-positive (HR+), HER2-negative (HER2-), Anatomic Stage Group III, II (subset) or I (high-risk subset as exploratory cohort) early Breast Cancer (EBC)
The majority of patients (pts) with breast cancer have hormone receptor positive (HR+) disease, and this holds true for pts with advanced breast cancer (ABC). Currently frontline therapy for pts with HR+ ABC is antihormonal therapy with an aromatase inhibitor or selective estrogen receptor degrader plus a CDK4/6i. The proposed trial is a randomized study to further evaluate the potential benefit of switching a frontline regimen at the time that a molecular signal, ctDNA, suggests progression prior to detection of clinical progression using standard methods. The purpose of this study is to determine whether switching treatment earlier in the disease process, based on molecular progression, will increase the amount of time that a patient's metastatic breast cancer is controlled compared to patients with metastatic breast cancer who receive treatment later based on diagnostic imaging results or other methods currently used in medical practice.
Patients with suspected breast cancer undergoing PET/CT at our hospital. The PET/CT center's chief physician and senior attending physician reviewed the films together and disagreement, if any, was resolved by consensus. The lesion was visually identified. A 3D region of interest(ROI) of the lesion was automatically outlined using the 40% threshold method, and PET metabolic parameters were measured . Breast lesions with radionuclide concentrations greater than those in normal breast tissue are considered to be breast cancer lesions, while lymph nodes with radionuclide concentrations greater than those in muscle tissue are considered to be metastatic lymph nodes. Image segmentation: Image segmentation was performed using ITK-SNAP software (4) (version 3.6.0, http://www.itksnap.org/), Brush Style: circular, Brush Size: 10, Brush Options: 3D. The entire tumor volume was outlined on the PET image as ROI for segmentation. An open source Python package (PyRadiomics version 3.0.1(5)) was used to extract the radiomics features from the ROI. Univariate and multivariate binary logistic regressions were used to construct model for predicting lymph node metastasis in breast cancer.
