Filter by:The aim of the study was to evaluate a new integrative day-care clinic concept for breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. This is an explorative pilot study. Therefore, all outcomes are analyzed exploratively.
"PRO-Pocket" - International prospective multicentre Post Market Clinical Follow Up to "Patient reported outcome" in primary or secondary breast reconstruction after mastectomy using a titanised polypropylene mesh (TiLOOP® Bra Pocket)
This randomized controlled trial compares vacuum-assisted percutaneous excision to open standard surgical excision in women who have high-risk or borderline, non-malignant breast lesions with respect to efficacy, safety, cosmesis and patient satisfaction.
This is a prospective randomised controlled trial that aims to understand the impact of the OWise breast cancer digital tool in newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. Half the patients will receive the digital tool and half the patients will receive standard information. The study will look at the impact of the digital tool on patient activation, health related quality of life (HRQoL), health status, psychological distress, NHS resource utilisation and health care costs.
This phase I trial studies how well curcumin works in reducing joint pain in patients who are breast cancer survivors and have joint disease caused by treatment with aromatase inhibitors. Curcumin is an ingredient of turmeric, a plant in the ginger family, which is commonly used in curries and South Asian and Middle Eastern cooking, and may decrease joint pain in patients with arthritis from other conditions (such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis).
This research is being conducted to develop consensus on surveillance mammography and follow-up for breast cancer survivors who are age ≥75.
Participants with suspicious breast lesions by mammography will undergo fine needle aspiration (FNA) under ultrasound guidance. The FNA will be read by the cytopathologist and analyzed in the breast cancer detection cartridge. All patients will receive standard of care (Ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy and diagnosis). We will also receive FNA collected from 60 patients with palpable lesions in South Africa and analyze them samples in our lab with the same method.
Patients with known or suspected primary or metastatic breast cancer with one lesion that is 1.5 cm in diameter or greater may be eligible for this study. Patients may participate in this study if they are at least 18 years of age. Up to 40 evaluable subjects will participate in a single imaging cohort. Patients will be stratified for analysis by breast cancer subtype with prioritization to recruit at least 10 estrogen-receptor-expressing (ER+) and 10 triple-negative breast cancers (TNBC). This is an observational study; [18F]F-GLN PET/CT will not be used to direct treatment decisions. While patients and referring physicians will not be blinded to the [18F]F-GLN PET/CT results, treatment decisions are made by the treating physicians based upon clinical criteria. [18F]F-GLN PET/CT imaging sessions will include an injection of [18F]F-GLN. Metabolism data will be collected. Pilot data will be collected to evaluate image quality and collect preliminary information on the uptake of [18F]F-GLN in breast cancer. Uptake measures will be compared to tumor markers of glutamine metabolism, when tissue is available. The safety of [18F]F-GLN will also be evaluated in all subjects.
This study aims to evaluate the pathologic response at 12 months after single dose preoperative partial breast irradiation in early stage breast cancer patients. Furthermore, the aim is to collect data on response monitoring. Patient-reported outcome measures and treatment-induced toxicity will be evaluated.
This is a randomized, double-blinded, multicenter phase 3 clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pyrotinib plus trastuzumab plus docetaxel versus placebo plus trastuzumab plus docetaxel in patients who have HER2 positive metastatic breast cancer and have not received systemic anticancer therapy for advanced disease.
