Filter by:The PERCEPTION study aims to assess the correlation between blood cell counts (Leucocytes, Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Platelets, NLR (Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio) and PLR (Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio)) and Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TILs), at baseline and after surgery, for patients diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. It also aims to assess these circulating elements and circulating tumor DNA as predictive factor of metastatic recurrence in triple negative breast cancer.
The purpose of this study is to collect clinical data, blood samples, and self reported symptoms of peripheral neuropathy from Chinese patients with breast cancer after treatment with taxanes. This data will be used to develop predictive markers for neuropathy.
This early phase I trial studies how well a genetic test called pharmacogenomics works in directing the optimal use of supportive care medications in patients with stage III-IV cancer. Pharmacogenomics is the study of how genes may affect the body's response to and interaction with some prescription medications. Genes, which are inherited from parents, carry information that determines things such as eye color and blood type. Genes can also influence how patients process and respond to medications. Depending on the genetic makeup, some medications may work faster or slower or produce more or fewer side effects. Pharmacogenomics testing may help doctors learn more about how patients break down and process specific medications based on their genes and improve the quality of life of cancer patients receiving clinical care.
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of P nab-paclitaxel combined with carboplatin versus paclitaxel combined with carboplatin followed by epirubicin and cyclophosphamide in the neoadjuvant treatment of triple negative breast cancer.

The incidence of breast cancer in Chinese women has increased year by year, and luminal A breast cancer commonly occurs in early-stage and postmenopausal women. This type of breast cancer is not sensitive to chemotherapy, although it has a low mortality rate and distant metastasis rate. Studies have shown that luminal A breast cancer is sensitive to endocrine therapy. Patients with breast cancer who undergo excision should be followed up and their prognosis should be monitored regularly. At present, imaging detection is mainly used in the conventional follow-up of breast cancer, but the cost of many imaging examinations is high, so a cost-effective examination is urgently needed. Recent studies have found that circulating tumor cells can be used as a new type of tumor molecular marker, which can be used to diagnose tumors, judge the prognosis and monitor the efficacy by detecting the number and characteristic protein expression of circulating tumor cells. Because circulating tumor cells may develop abnormalities 4-6 months earlier than conventional imaging examination, as long as circulating tumor cells of patients are abnormal, timely PET-CT examination will neither miss diagnosis nor delay the condition. Simultaneously, the cost of hospitalization can be obviously reduced. This non-inferiority randomized controlled clinical trial is designed to compare the differences in postoperative conditions between circulating tumor cell detection and conventional imaging examination in patients with luminal A breast cancer without lymph node metastasis.
Cancer therapeutics such as chemotherapy may modulate tumor/immune-system interactions in favor of the immune system. Chemotherapy can result in tumor cell death with a resultant increase in tumor antigen delivery to antigen-presenting cells. Therefore, combining immunotherapy (Nivolumab) with chemotherapy (Eribulin) is a promising anti-cancer strategy.
Brain metastasis accounted for 10-15% of all breast cancer patients and even higher in patients with triple negative and HER2 overexpressed subtype. Stereotactic radiation is the standard option for patients with 1-4 brain metastases. Among patients with 1-4 brain metastases, many studies suggest that stereotactic radiation results in fewer neurologic side effects than whole brain radiation. Also, several studies had demonstrated that 5-10 lesions had similar overall survival by using whole brain radiotherapy or stereotactic radiotherapy. Fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy(FSRT) is increasingly administered in the brain metastatic patients and retrospective studies had shown that FSRT had better local control and lower brain radiation necrosis than single fraction stereotactic radiation. Therefore, In this study, we explore to treat 1-10 brain metastasis lesion in breast cancer patients with FSRT.
The open-label Phase Ib portion of this study will evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetics of ipatasertib in combination with palbociclib and fulvestrant to identify a dose of ipatasertib that can be combined with palbociclib and fulvestrant in the Phase III portion. The randomized Phase III portion of this study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and patient-reported outcome (PRO) objectives of ipatasertib + palbociclib + fulvestrant compared with placebo + palbociclib + fulvestrant in patients with HR+ HER2-, locally advanced unresectable or metastatic breast cancer who had relapsed during adjuvant endocrine therapy or progressed during the initial 12 months of first-line endocrine therapy in locally advanced unresectable or metastatic breast cancer.
