NCT ID: NCT05452499 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Pain Neuroscience Education and Therapeutic Exercise as a Treatment for Breast Cancer Survivors Living With Sequelae

Start date: September 5, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Introduction: Breast cancer represents the most common type of malignant neoplasm worldwide. Advances in diagnosis and treatment have increased the life expectancy of patients. However, the sequelae associated with treatment and disease in survivors such as chronic pain, kinesiophobia and loss of physical function represent a long-term health problem. Physical therapy is a frequently used strategy for the treatment of sequelae in the acute stage of the disease, but there is a need to evaluate its effectiveness in cancer survivors with chronic sequelae. Therapeutic exercise and pain neuroscience education have been shown to be effective in the management of populations with chronic pain and loss of function; however, more evidence is needed in specific populations of cancer survivors. Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of a physical therapy program based on pain neuroscience education and therapeutic exercise for the treatment of chronic pain, kinesiophobia and loss of physical function in breast cancer survivors. Methodology. Quasi-experimental study. The sample will consist of 40 female breast cancer survivors. The intervention will last 9 weeks, with 3 sessions of pain neuroscience education and 24 sessions of therapeutic exercise, 3 times per week (16 face-to-face sessions and 8 sessions at home). The intervention will be carried out in small groups of 8 to 12 people. The frequency and intensity of pain, the level of kinesiophobia and physical functionality and the range of of motion of the shoulder will be evaluated in 4 assessments, before the intervention (T0), 3rd (T1), 6th (T2) and 9th (T3) week of the intervention. Different validated measurement instruments will be used in this population such as self-report scales, questionnaires and the use of a goniometer.

NCT ID: NCT05452213 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Comprehensive Analysis of Spatial, Temporal and Molecular Patterns of Ribociclib Efficacy and Resistance in Advanced Breast Cancer Patients

CAPTOR-BC
Start date: October 12, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This is a single-arm, open-label phase IV study of patients with advanced HR+/HER2- breast cancer who are treated first line with ribociclib and standard of care endocrine treatment according to SmPC.

NCT ID: NCT05452083 Not yet recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Postoperative Radiation of Patients With Breast Cancer in Extreme Hypofractionation.

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Evaluation of treatment toxicity of extreme hypofractionation of the whole breast in five fractions of 5.2 Gy in five consecutive workdays.

NCT ID: NCT05451849 Active, not recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

A Phase 1/2 Trial of TC-510 In Patients With Advanced Mesothelin-Expressing Cancer

Start date: June 21, 2022
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

TC-510 is a novel cell therapy that consists of autologous genetically engineered T cells expressing two synthetic constructs: first, a single-domain antibody that recognizes human Mesothelin, fused to the CD3-epsilon subunit which, upon expression, is incorporated into the endogenous T cell receptor (TCR) complex and second, a PD-1:CD28 switch receptor, which is expressed on the surface of the T cell, independently from the TCR. The PD-1:CD28 switch receptor comprises the PD-1 extracellular domain fused to the CD28 intracellular domain via a transmembrane domain. Thus, the switch is designed to produce a costimulatory signal upon engagement with PD-L1 on cancer cells.

NCT ID: NCT05451784 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Triple-Negative Breast Carcinoma

Treatment of Advanced or Metastatic Triple-negative Breast Cancer With Adoptive Therapy of PD1+ TILS

TILS001
Start date: July 20, 2022
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective, multicenter, phase I/II, open-label, two-stage design of PD1+ TILs infusion in metastatic or advanced TNBC. TILS001 includes 3 parts. Previous to each phase inclusion, a specific ICF must be signed by the patient. Participants potentially eligible to participate in the clinical trial will be offered to sign a ICF three times prior to TILs treatment: 1) to allow for collection of archival FFPE tissue samples for determination PD1 by mRNA (Part #1), 2) prior to a fresh metastatic biopsy for selection, isolation and partial expansion of PD1+ TILs (Part #2) and 3) prior to allow for remaining study procedures and TILs therapy (Part #3, Main Consent).

NCT ID: NCT05449691 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Biological Matrices Versus Synthetic Meshes

BIOSYM
Start date: November 2, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this feasibility study, 60 women undergoing reconstruction will be randomly allocated to receive biological or synthetic mesh and followed for 6 months. The findings will tell us if patients and surgeons are comfortable with not being able to choose which mesh is used for the operation. In the larger surgical study, the investigators plan to measure patients' satisfaction with the reconstruction, patients' quality of life, complications from the operation and costs over 5 years.

NCT ID: NCT05449340 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Multidisciplinary Care Pathway With Electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePRO) Post-operative Follow-up of Breast Cancer Surgery Complications to Optimize Patient Quality of Life

BEAUTIFY-3
Start date: July 25, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This project is a follow-on study of the BEAUTIFY-2 study (NCT04957186). The "BEAUTIFY" (BrEast cAncer qUaliTy of lIfe aFter surgerY) program was built by a committee of experts on the basis of reflections carried out within 2 focus groups. An application was developed to track patient reported outcome measures. The study investigators now wish to evaluate the feasibility and impact on pain and quality of life of the "BEAUTIFY" care pathway on a larger cohort. The study hypothesis is that multidisciplinary care organization will improve the management and the quality of life post-breast cancer surgery.

NCT ID: NCT05448963 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Pilot Study of Single-port Robot-assisted Nipple-sparing Mastectomy

Start date: July 30, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) is indicated for breast cancer requiring total mastectomy and without nipple involvement by cancer. Robot-assisted mastectomy enables removal of the whole breast tissue with well-preserved breast skin envelope through a single longitudinal incision in the anterior axillary line at the nipple areolar level. The next-generation robot, da Vinci SP system, is single-armed, equipped with multiple flexible instruments and camera, which is likely to improve the efficacy of robotic mastectomy. The investigator's scope of this study is to establish the feasibility and safety of SP-applied NSM through this single-armed pilot trial. Participants with breast cancer indicated for nipple-sparing mastectomy or candidates of prophylactic mastectomy carrying germline pathogenic or likely pathogenic BRCA1/2 mutations are recruited to receive SP-assisted unilateral or bilateral NSMs. Immediate breast reconstruction is followed according to the mode of the plastic surgeon's clinical decision. The primary endpoint is technical feasibility, and the secondary endpoint is safety and patient-reported outcome.

NCT ID: NCT05448638 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials
