Programmed Death-Ligand1 Expression in Her-2 Positive and Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Patients with Her-2 positive and triple negative breast cancer who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy will be included in the study. Paraffin blocks of preoperative core or tru-cut biopsies of the participants will be collected and tested for programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression. The variation of PD-L1 expression among different breast cancer subtypes will be evaluated and the investigator will correlate between PD-L1 expression and pathological complete response to neoadjuvant systemic therapy.

Participation could last up to 5 years, depending on how you and your tumor respond.

Therapeutic Dose Monitoring (TDM) of Tamoxifen

Tamoxifen is a potent and effective drug reducing the risk of dying from breast cancer in the adjuvant setting. Although more modern drugs have partly replaced tamoxifen, it is helpful in the neoadjuvant and metastatic settings as a single drug. Despite that, in the adjuvant setting, it is a valuable drug. This study aims to validate and study the feasibility of serial assessments, including therapeutic drug monitoring of tamoxifen, 4-hydroxytamoxifen and Z-endoxifen by capillary blood sampling, combined with patient-reported symptom scores. This will provide preliminary data to allow us to develop a future multicentre randomised clinical trial of personalised dose monitoring and adjustment of adjuvant tamoxifen therapy to enhance the quality of life and breast cancer outcomes.

Mobile-Health Delivery of Lifestyle Interventions for Women With Breast Cancer

This clinical trial aims to develop a lifestyle program to improve clinical outcomes in women with breast cancer who do not have a healthy diet, regular exercise habits, or ways to manage their stress well. The program will include support and counseling in healthy eating, physical activity, stress management and mindfulness, learning sleep hygiene techniques, and behavioral counseling in addition to social support. Developing a lifestyle program may help improve quality of life and encourage healthy lifestyle choices among patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
