Filter by:Understudied drugs will be administered to children per standard of care as prescribed by their treating caregiver and only biological sample collection during the time of drug administration will be involved. A total of approximately 7000 children aged <21 years who are receiving these drugs for standard of care will be enrolled and will be followed for up a maximum of 90 days. The goal of this study is to characterize the pharmacokinetics of understudied drugs for which specific dosing recommendations and safety data are lacking. The prescribing of drugs to children will not be part of this protocol. Taking advantage of procedures done as part of routine medical care (i.e. blood draws) this study will serve as a tool to better understand drug exposure in children receiving these drugs per standard of care. The data collected through this initiative will also provide valuable pharmacokinetic and dosing information of drugs in different pediatric age groups as well as special pediatric populations (i.e. obese).
The purpose of this Post-Approval Study (PAS) is to demonstrate the chronic performance of the SureScan pacing system when used in an MRI environment according to product labeling. This study is required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a condition of product approval.
The intent of this study is to evaluate the performance of the implanted Accent MRI TM system in a clinical setting and optionally in the MRI environment. This system includes the St. Jude Medical Tendril MRI™ lead and SJM Accent MRITM DR pacemaker. Also the MRI Activator™ will be evaluated in this study. The MRI Activator is a handheld device that allows the user to enable and disable MRI Settings as well as check the status of MRI Settings in the pacemaker. The patient population under study includes patients with a standard bradycardia pacing indication.
Primary Objective: To characterize left ventricular (LV) threshold behavior over time using daily left ventricular capture management (LVCM) measurements. Study Design: This is a multicenter, prospective, non-interventional study with patients receiving their first cardiac resynchronisation therapy-implantable cardioverter defibrillator (CRT-ICD) device. The study design, based on the primary objective, is an observational examination of LV thresholds over time. Daily left ventricular threshold measurements will be collected using the LVCM feature. Up to 150 patients will be enrolled in Canada to evaluate the primary objective at up to 15 study centers. Data will be collected at Baseline, Implant, 12 months post-implant and all regularly scheduled follow-up visits up to 12 months post-implant. Devices: The ConcertoTM CRT-ICD device and future Medtronic CRT-ICD devices containing the LVCM feature will be used in this study.
The primary purpose of this study is to assess the long term reliability of the Medtronic Adapta®/Sensia™/Versa™ platform of devices. This study is required by FDA as a condition of approval of nEw3 devices. Patients will be followed for 5 years after implant. This study utilizes data collected from the System Longevity Study (SLS).

Pacemaker technology is constantly evolving. In the past 10 years, numerous advancements have been made in pacemaker therapy, diagnostics and connectivity. These advancements include automated capture, automated sensing, patient alert functions, algorithms minimizing ventricular pacing, automatic mode switching in response to atrial tachyarrhythmia, rate responsive pacing, advanced diagnostic features, remote monitoring and radiofrequency (RF) technology. However, little information is available on how these new features are being utilized by physicians in the real world and how these features impact patient outcomes. This observational study will gather data on the patients' presenting clinical status, indication for device implantation, utilization of advanced device features, device therapy choices, clinical management and outcomes in a general pacemaker population. The primary aim of the study is to evaluate the usage of advanced features and diagnostics in patients with St. Jude Medical pacemakers. The secondary aim of the study is to learn more about the progressive clinical outcomes in the general pacemaker patient population. The tertiary aim of the study is to evaluate the correlation between the usage of advanced features in pacemaker patients and the patient's clinical outcomes.
The COMPARE-Adapta study is a randomized, multi-center, prospective study conducted in China. The purpose of the study is to compare the ability of Search AV™+ and Managed Ventricular Pacing® (MVP®) to reduce ventricular pacing in dual chamber pacemaker-indicated patients. The COMPARE-Adapta study will also observe atrial fibrillation (AF) burden as demonstrated by Cardiac Compass® and the clinical profile Adapta® pacemaker patients.
The purpose of this study in patients with chronic stable coronary artery disease treatable by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of the orally taken selective I(f)-inhibitor Ivabradine (Procoralan®, Servier Switzerland) with regard to the promotion of collateral growth.
