NCT ID: NCT01748253 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hypertension and Atrial Fibrillation

ARB and CCB Longest Combination Treatment on Ambulatory and Home BP in Hypertension With Atrial Fibrillation -Multicenter Study on Time of Dosing (ACROBAT)

ACROBAT
Start date: November 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Evaluation of 24-hour antihypertensive effect of long-acting ARB-CCB tablet administrated to hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation, and comparison of 24-hour antihypertensive effect of long-acting ARB-CCB tablet between morning administration and bedtime administration.

NCT ID: NCT01716143 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Left Atrium Substrate Based Ablation Plus Circumferential Pulmonary Vein Isolation to Treat Chronic Atrial Fibrillation

Start date: March 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether left atrium substrate based ablation plus circumferential is effective in the treatment of persistent and long-standing atrial fibrillation.

NCT ID: NCT01713270 Recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Renal Sympathetic Denervation in Patients With Drug-resistant Hypertension and Symptomatic Atrial Fibrillation

RSDforAF
Start date: July 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To study whether renal sympathetic denervation(RSD) is safe and effective in patients with drug-resistant hypertension and symptomatic atrial fibrillation.

NCT ID: NCT01686542 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

CPVI Plus Renal Sympathetic Modification Versus CPVI Alone for AF(Atrial Fibrillation) Ablation

Start date: June 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study is designed as a randomized control trial. The purpose of this study is to observe the efficacy and safety of atrial fibrillation ablation, comparing circumferential pulmonary vein isolation (CPVI) plus renal sympathetic modification (RSM) with CPVI alone.

NCT ID: NCT01672346 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

PV Reconnection After PVAI at Different Power Settings and Adenosine Provocation

ZODIAC
Start date: May 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

In this prospective randomized study, we aim to compare the rate of PV reconnection following PVAI performed at different energy settings (30 Watts vs 40 Watts) where dormant PV conduction will be unmasked by adenosine-provocation.

NCT ID: NCT01672138 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Persistent Atrial Fibrillation

Pulmonary Vein Antrum Isolation (PVAI) Plus Scar Homogenization and Non-PV Triggers Ensure Long-term Recurrence-free Survival in Non-paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

TANTRA
Start date: February 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to examine the long-term success rate of catheter ablation in non-paroxysmal atrial fibrillation patients using different ablation strategies such as : (i) pulmonary vein antrum isolation (PVAI) + isolation of left atrial posterior wall, (ii) PVAI plus scar homogenization, (iii) PVAI plus isolation of posterior wall plus ablation of non-PV triggers [ PVAI: Pulmonary Vein Antrum Isolation Non-PV triggers: Triggers arising from sites other than pulmonary veins]

NCT ID: NCT01630330 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Contact Force Sensing Use in Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

Start date: May 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

There are multiple important factors which need to be monitored when conducting ablation for atrial fibrillation. The contact between the catheter tip and the inside of the heart wall is now measurable and may improve the effectiveness of catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation patients.

NCT ID: NCT01610141 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Applying Pharmacogenetics to Warfarin Dosing in Chinese Patients

Start date: June 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether pharmacogenetic guided dosing of warfarin is promising for the improvement of efficiency, therapeutic efficacy, and, especially, safety of warfarin therapy than a dosing regimen without the pharmacogenetic information in Chinese patients initiated on warfarin anticoagulation.

NCT ID: NCT01582828 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Serial Hybrid Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

SHAFT
Start date: August 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Treatment of (long-standing) persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) remains cumbersome and the surgical (epicardial) approach seems to be the most effective. Still, however a significant amount of failures exist which is mostly due to incompleteness of the surgical ablation lines. Checking, and if necessary additional ablation, of these lines afterwards endocardially by the cardiologist (the so-called serial hybrid approach) could overcome this problem.

NCT ID: NCT01558128 Recruiting - Cardiac Surgery Clinical Trials

Combined Amiodarone and Electrical Cardioversion for Postoperative Atrial Fibrillation After Cardiac Surgery

Start date: March 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To determine the efficacy of cardioversion and amiodarone for cardiac patients who develop postoperative atrial fibrillation
