NCT ID: NCT05515302 Recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

Effect of Playing an Audio Clip for Pain and Anxiety Control in Patients While Dressing Burn Wounds

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this clinical trial is to assess the effect of playing patient preferred audio clip for controlling the pain and anxiety in patients while dressing burn wounds. The age group to be selected for this explicit examination is 18 years and above. The researcher will assess the pain and anxiety levels in both experimental and control groups having sample size of 50 each using standardized tools. The patient in intervention group will be offered selected audio clips to choose from. The patient preferred audio clips will be played for 10 days while the control group will be provided with treatment as usual. After collecting the data from both groups, it will be compared to analyze the effectiveness of listening to the audio clips chosen by the patient.

NCT ID: NCT05511909 Recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Evaluating Buspirone to Treat Opioid Withdrawal

Start date: December 15, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The investigators propose a rigorous, Phase II, three-group, placebo-controlled double-blind randomized controlled trial (RCT) to evaluate the efficacy of buspirone for both withdrawal and craving among individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) undergoing a standardized stepwise taper. During this 10 to 12-day residential study, participants with OUD will be enrolled, stabilized on a short-acting opioid, undergo an opioid stepwise taper, and complete a post-taper observation period where participants will have the opportunity to initiate long-term buprenorphine or extended-release naltrexone.

NCT ID: NCT05510804 Recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Efficacy of an App-based CBT Featuring Virtual Reality for Anxiety Disorders

ALISA
Start date: March 3, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Primary aim is to evaluate the efficacy of a (minimally) therapist-guided app-based psychotherapy with virtual reality exposure therapy (ALISA) in participants with agoraphobia with or without panic disorder, social anxiety disorder or panic disorder. Participants are diagnosed applying a structured clinical interview by qualified psychologists and then they are randomly allocated to either the intervention group (ALISA) or a control group, receiving supportive psychotherapy while on a waiting list for a structured therapy programme. The investigators hypothesize that participants receiving ALISA compared to controls will present lower levels of anxiety and a higher quality of life at six-month follow-up after start of the intervention, according to Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI, primary outcome measure) and WHO-QoL, respectively.

NCT ID: NCT05506644 Recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials

Biofeedback for Psoriasis

Start date: June 7, 2022

We are conducting a proof-of-concept trial to study the impact of HRV-biofeedback, a mind-body technique designed to improve stress resilience, on the quality of life, mood, and clinical skin severity of patients with psoriasis.

NCT ID: NCT05501457 Recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

The Effect of Different Muscle Training on Activities of Daily Living in COPD

Start date: July 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) contributes significantly to global morbidity and mortality; It is a disease that affects an estimated 210 million people worldwide and is the third most common cause of death. COPD is identified by persistent airflow limitation and is associated with progressively worsening lung function, dyspnea, health-related quality of life (HRQOL), and impaired exercise capacity. Poor exercise capacity is a common finding of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Central cardiopulmonary factors, respiratory muscle dysfunction, gas exchange abnormalities, and skeletal muscle dysfunction all play a role in limiting exercise capacity The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation applied to different muscle groups (quadriceps femoris and gastrocnemius muscles) on exercise performance and quality of life in patients with stable COPD and compare it with standard treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05485701 Recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials

NCT ID: NCT05475600 Recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

APA and Relaxation by Biofeedback in Patients With Haematological Malignancy Admitted in ICU

APAER_H
Start date: December 2, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Adapted Physical Activity (APA) is accepted as an effective, recommended and beneficial supportive care for the health of people with cancer during the different phases of the disease. The objective of the project is to analyse the effect of APA programs (Classic, Exergaming and Relaxation) on the state anxiety of people with severe blood diseases admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Anxiety is a major affect in this context. The interest of the practice of APA for this public is to reduce the level of state anxiety and to limit the decline of functional capacities. The main objective of this work is to identify whether specific and/or complementary effects result from the use of biofeedback and/or Exergaming.

NCT ID: NCT05474846 Recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials
