Clinical Study for the Efficacy Evaluation of a Food Supplement

The primary aim of this in vivo clinical study is to evaluate the depigmenting effect of an active ingredient incorporated into a food supplement through the evaluation of the melanin variation parameter, assessed with the equipment Antera 3D (Miravex, Ireland), after 28 consecutive days of food supplement's once-daily intake, in comparison with the baseline and a placebo. The secondary objective of this study is to evaluate in vivo the depigmenting effect of the same active ingredient incorporated into a food supplement through the evaluation of the melanin variation parameter, assessed with the equipment Antera 3D (Miravex, Ireland), after 56 and 84 consecutive days of food supplement's once-daily intake. Other goals of this clinical study are to evaluate in vivo the effect of the same active ingredient incorporated into a food supplement, after 28, 56 and 84 consecutive days of a once-daily intake, in comparison with the baseline and a placebo (1) on skin whitening/brightening through the evaluation of the L* parameter, assessed with the equipment Antera 3D (Miravex, Ireland), (2) on the skin colour homogeneity through the measurement of the ITAº (Individual Typology Angle) parameter, assessed with the equipment Colorimeter® CL400, (3) on the skin tone evenness through the measurement of the standard deviation of the skin colour, assessed with the equipment Colorimeter® CL400, (4) on the skin density of the dermis, measured with the equipment Episcan 35 MHz (Longport Inc, United States), (5) on skin hydration assessed through capacitance measurements with the equipment Corneometer® CM825, (6) on the skin firmness, skin overall elasticity and skin total deformation measured with the equipment Cutometer® SEM 575 (Courage+Khazaka electronic GmbH, Germany), and (7) on skin radiance through clinical evaluation performed by an expert. It is also objective of this clinical study to evaluate (8) subjects' tolerance, acceptability, perception of efficacy and future use/purchase intention towards the food supplements by filling out a subjective evaluation questionnaire after 28, 56 and 84 consecutive days of food supplement's once-daily intake.

Evaluating Procedure Pairing of a Post-Procedure Cream Versus a Comparator in Patients Treated With a Hybrid-Fractional Laser for Facial Rejuvenation

This randomized, multi-center, double-blinded, split-face, controlled clinical trial was conducted to investigate the tolerability, safety, and efficacy of a post-procedure cream when used immediately after hybrid-fractional laser treatment and for 7 days post-procedure with three times daily application in healthy female subjects aged 35-65 years with moderate to severe global face photodamage (score of 4 to 7 out of the 10-point Modified Griffiths' scale). Furthermore, this clinical trial compared the active post-procedure cream to a comparator moisturizer often paired with skin rejuvenation procedures. This is a cosmetic study with an FDA-regulated device. A total of 16 healthy female subjects completed the study (8 subjects at both sites).

Open Label Study Exploring Tissue Histopathology After Ellacor® Procedure in an Abdominoplasty Model.

The goal of this study to better understand how the ellacor® Micro-Coring™ procedure works using an abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck surgery, model. The people participating in the study will have already decided that they want to have an abdominoplasty procedure. The main questions this study aims to answer are: 1. how does the ellacor® procedure change skin tissue? 2. is the ellacor® device safe to use at specific treatment depths? The ellacor® procedure will be performed on people who are going to have abdominoplasty surgery. The ellacor® treatment areas will be limited to the areas marked for removal of skin during the abdominoplasty. The treated tissue will be sent to a lab for microscopic study after the abdominoplasty procedure is complete. A minimum of 3 people will be treated in each of 2 groups for a total of 6 total participants. 3 participants in the first group will have the ellacor® procedure done 30 days before their abdominoplasty surgery. The ellacor® procedure will be done at different depths in designated locations: 4mm, 5mm and 7mm. The participants will be asked about any changes to their health or medications while on the study. 3 participants in the second group will have the ellacor® procedure done at 3 different timepoints, 30 days apart, all at the same depth of 4mm. They will also be asked about any changes to their health or medications while on the study. Researchers will study the abdominoplasty tissue under a microscope after it has been removed from the participants. They will compare the areas treated by the ellacor® device to an area left untreated. This will reveal any changes in the skin tissue between treated and untreated areas, if they occur.

Furthermore, this clinical trial compared the active post-procedure cream to a comparator anhydrous formulation often paired with skin rejuvenation procedures. This is a cosmetic study with a FDA-regulated device. A total of 22 healthy female subjects completed the study.

This randomized, single-center, double-blinded, controlled, clinical trial was conducted to investigate the tolerability, safety, and efficacy of a post-procedure cream when used immediately after radiofrequency microneedling and for seven days post-procedure with twice daily application in healthy female subjects ages 35-65 with moderate facial photodamage (Grade II or III) using the Glogau Scale of Photoaging. Furthermore, this clinical trial will compare the active post-procedure cream to a comparator anhydrous cream product often paired with skin rejuvenation procedures. A total of 11 healthy female subjects completed the study. Six (6) subjects in the active arm and five (5) subjects in the comparator arm.
