The goal of this stepped-wedge cluster randomized control trial is to assess whether a Ugandan community-based intervention for young fathers (ages 18-25 years) of children ages 0-3 years impacts fathers' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors surrounding positive parenting practices, father-child interaction, harsh physical punishment of children, and intimate partner violence.
The goal of this observational study is to evaluate the effects of Pathways to Potential (P2P) on youth violence involvement in Michigan public K-12 students. The main goals of this study are: - This project will link longitudinal P2P participation data to state administrative records and school disciplinary data to evaluate associations between school P2P participation and youth outcomes-specifically chronic absenteeism, peer aggression expulsions, and child maltreatment rates within a school (Aim 1). - Given the focus of P2P is to improve the social and structural conditions within a school that contribute to student chronic absenteeism, the team will assess if chronic absenteeism rates mediate the relationships between school P2P participation and youth violence involvement (Aim 2). - Finally, a survey of success coaches will inform the examination of school and implementation factors that moderate associations between P2P participation and youth violence involvement (Aim 3). Schools participating in P2P receive Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) caseworkers, called success coaches, in local elementary, middle, and high schools. After identifying a social or material need that is a barrier to school attendance (e.g., transportation barriers, caregiver unemployment), success coaches connect students and families to community resources and public assistance.
This study will evaluate, via a cluster-randomized controlled trial, the effectiveness of a community-centered intervention that promotes thriving and resiliency to reduce community violence.

Intimate partner abuse is very common among university students. Post-traumatic stress disorder is one of the most serious mental diseases caused by intimate partner abuse.The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of an internet-based psychosocial intervention based on Social Learning Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches on post-traumatic stress and growth in student nurses who had experienced intimate partner abuse.
In Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (DSM) a pre-test post-test intervention pilot study with four arms was conducted. Each arm had 12-15 participants who were young men at risk for violence who were members of one 'camp'. Each participant was interviewed at baseline before the 4 camps were randomized. The interventions were training sessions in: Health (Control), Entrepreneurship, Beekeeping, and All Intervention sessions. Subsequent interviews took place 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after all the interventions took place. This was a pilot study in preparation for a full intervention trial. The hypotheses for the intervention trial were expected to be that income would increase and violence would decrease in the intervention arms as compared to the Control arm.
This pilot quasi-experimental community based trial examines the feasibility of a sexual violence and adolescent relationship abuse prevention program for girls aged 14-19. Feasibility is assessed through participant attendance, retention and program satisfaction measures and interviews are conducted at baseline, end of program and 3 month follow up (endline) about participant experiences.
