The SECURE EV Study is a prospective, multi-center, single-arm study without concurrent or historical controls. The objectives of the study are 1) to characterize safety of the AtaCor EV-ICD Lead up to 90 days post-implant, and 2) to characterize sensing and conversion of induced VF up to 90 days post-implant.
The PASS PULL EV-ICD Study is a prospective, multi-center, single-arm study without concurrent or historical controls. This initial concept feasibility study is primarily intended to demonstrate that the EV-ICD Lead can be safely positioned within the anterior mediastinum as intended using the AtaCor delivery system. The study will secondarily characterize the ability for the EV-ICD Lead to facilitate VF sensing and defibrillation.
This is a prospective multi-center international registry. The objective of this registry is to collect prospective data on patients undergoing catheter ablation for Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) and Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC). The registry will be used for clinical monitoring, research, and quality improvement purposes.
The purpose of the study is to compare standard, single chamber transvenous ICD to sub-cutaneous ICD in occurrence of perioperative and long term device related complications and failed appropriate clinical shocks and arrhythmic death.
To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of catheter ablation of frequent symptomatic PVCs in the pediatric population as first-line therapy compared with antiarrhythmic drugs.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether catheter based ablation is better than conventional anti-arrhythmic drug (AAD) therapy for reducing recurrent shocks in patients with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD). The second purpose of the study is to determine the safety of catheter-based ablation and the effect on quality of life of patients. The study hypothesis is that catheter ablation is superior to AAD therapy in preventing recurrent ventricular arrhythmia in such subjects. This is a pilot trial which will provide data regarding recruitment potential and the feasibility of conducting a larger trial.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of eleclazine (GS-6615) compared to placebo on the overall occurrence of appropriate implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) interventions (antitachycardia pacing [ATP] or shock) in adults with ICD or cardiac resynchronization therapy-defibrillator (CRT-D).
The purpose of this 2-group randomized clinical trial is to: 1) examine the feasibility and acceptability of a 3-month positive-emotion focused therapy (Quality of Life Therapy) modified specifically for patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD); and 2) obtain estimates of effect size for QOLT compared to Heart Healthy Education on the changes in arrhythmia frequency and biomarkers of autonomic function, as well as changes in emotion, mood, and well-being across time (baseline, 3 & 9-months). It is hypothesized that the QOLT will promote improvements in autonomic function, reduced arrhythmia frequency, and improved psychological well-being.
The ICD Registry™ is a nationwide quality program that helps participating hospitals measure and improve care for patients receiving implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices with defibrillator (CRT-Ds). The ICD Registry captures the characteristics, treatments, and outcomes of patients receiving (ICDs). Patient-level data is submitted by participating hospitals on a quarterly basis to the American College of Cardiology Foundation's (ACCF) National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) which then produces an Outcomes Report of the hospital's data, with comparison to both a volume peer group (number of ICD patients submitted annually) and the entire ICD registry data set.
