The purpose of this study is to determine how vaping affects blood vessels, in particular if early damage occurs in the lung vessels.

NCT ID: NCT05373927 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Peripheral Arterial Disease

Calf Muscle Perfusion in Patients With Intermittent Claudication by Non-invasive MSOT

MSOT_IC
Start date: June 20, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objective of the proposed study is to define independent parameters for the diagnostic assessment of the perfusion situation of the calf muscle based on multispectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) in a cross-sectional collective of patients with PAD in Fontaine stage II (intermittent claudication) and a healthy control collective (study group 1). The results will be validated using an independent validation group (study group 2).

NCT ID: NCT05368467 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

National Registry and Cohort Study of Pulmonary Vascular Disease

NCPVD
Start date: March 29, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This is a observational、multicenter, prospective cohort study for patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH). The purposes of this study were to evaluate the etiology、clinical characteristics、treatment modalities, and outcomes of patients with PH;also to set up registration system of PH in China, to build a database of Chinese PH, to establish a web-based international standard data acquisition system for PH and a multicenter clinical research platform. The results of the study will provide a basis for the future national health policy for prevention and treatment of PH.

NCT ID: NCT05361967 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Peripheral Arterial Disease

Tack Optimized Balloon Angioplasty Post-Market Study

TOBA PMS
Start date: March 30, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objective of this study is to obtain outcomes following dissection repair with the Tack Endovascular System in a broad population of patients undergoing endovascular treatment of lesions within the superficial femoral, popliteal, peroneal, and/or tibial arteries.

NCT ID: NCT05359588 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cerebral Small Vessel Diseases

Functional Prognosis of Post-operative Patients With Cerebral Small Vascular Disease(CSVD)

Start date: January 31, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigators perform a retro-prospective exploratory cohort study among patients 65 to 85 years old with pre-operative head MRI result after thoracic surgery in Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University from November 2020 to December 2021. Perioperative data were collected, including preoperative general condition, laboratory examination, auxiliary examination (blood routine, blood coagulation, liver and kidney function, etc.), perioperative indicators (use of anesthetics, anesthetic time, blood pressure, etc.), postoperative cerebral function follow-up and occurrence of cerebral vascular complications (brain infarction, brain bleed, etc.) of patients.

NCT ID: NCT05358210 Recruiting - Blood Pressure Clinical Trials

Effects of Blueberries in Older Adults

BnD
Start date: April 20, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized, parallel-design trial will evaluate specific clinical and physiological effects of whole blueberries in adults 70 years of age or older.

NCT ID: NCT05349318 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Mild Cognitive Impairment

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Prodromal Alzheimer´s Disease With Cerebrovascular Disease

Start date: March 31, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Alzheimer´s disease is a devastating illness that effects the patients as well as their family members. Its prevalence increases exponentially and the burden on the healthcare system is enormous. AD neuropathology begins 15-20 years before the occurrence of cognitive symptoms, which ranges from preclinical stage to mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to dementia. Prodromal AD is an early stage of the disease which is characterized by positive biomarkers and MCI. To this day, there is no medication that can cure or halt the progression of the disease and most studies focus on finding reversible risk factors and changing their influence. Several aetiologies have been proposed, like the deposition of amyloid and tau proteins, neuroinflammation and cerebral ischemia due to cerebrovascular factors. The Amyloid deposition, which serves as the biological marker of AD, was originally thought to be the main cause of the disease, however, recent data suggests that it is not the cause and that it might actually has a protective role. On the other hand, it is known today that vascular changes with related tissue ischemia and neuroinflammation have a crucial role in the development of AD in many patients. These pathologies, ischemia & neuroinflammation, can be improved by the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). The goal of this study is to explore the potential beneficial effect of HBOT on prodromal AD.

NCT ID: NCT05339087 Recruiting - Systemic Sclerosis Clinical Trials
