Filter by:Patients undergoing urological surgery often need to be provided with targeted nursing care to ensure that the therapeutic effects can be fully realized, however, the traditional nursing cannot reach the expect effect.both patient outcome and nurse satisfaction have been reported with high levels of dissatisfaction in the traditional nursing. Therefore, exploring a new, patient-centered and effective nursing mode is needed. In 2010, the Chinese Ministry of Health proposed a project named the High-Quality Care Project to improve nurse and patient outcomes through the transformation of the nursing care delivery system in hospitals. This study aims to compare the new nursing model and the traditional nursing, and to explore a more effective nursing model for urological surgery.
Transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) guided prostate biopsy is a gold standard method widely used in the diagnosis of prostate cancer. This procedure can be very painful and anxious for men. Various pharmacological methods can be used to relieve patients' pain and discomfort during TRUS-guided prostate biopsy. Although there is still no consensus on the solution suggestions for pain and anxiety due to biopsy, it is known that music, which is a non-pharmacological method, is effective in this regard. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of music with structured verbal training on patients' pain, anxiety and satisfaction levels during transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy.
Circumcision is a common procedure in infants, children and young people around the world for cultural, religious or medical reasons. Since this is a painful procedure, it is performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia. It is recommended to perform this procedure under local anesthesia if there is no risk. Although local anesthesia is used during the procedure, pain and anxiety levels of children may increase. Distraction methods are commonly used and effective methods to reduce pain and anxiety during painful procedures. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of tablet playing during circumcision on pain and anxiety in school age children.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of watching relaxing video during cystoscopy on the pain and anxiety levels of female patients.
