NCT ID: NCT04850352 Completed - Triglycerides High Clinical Trials

Clinical Study to Evaluate the Blood Triglyceride Decreasing Effect and Safety of Korean Post-Fermented Tea Extracts

Start date: April 3, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of daily supplementation of Korean Post-Fermented Tea(Heukcha) Extracts on improvement of Blood Triglyceride Level.

NCT ID: NCT04562467 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

The Use of Icosapent Ethyl on Vascular Progenitor Cells in Individuals With Elevated Cardiovascular Risk

IPE-PREVENTION
Start date: September 24, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

IPE-PREVENTION is a prospective, randomized, 3-month long, open-label study. A total of 70 individuals with elevated cardio-metabolic risk and heightened triglyceride levels, and who are on stable statin therapy will be randomized (1:1) to receive either icosapent ethyl (IPE) 2g BID or standard of care. It is hypothesized that assignment to IPE will lower progenitor cell depletion as well as limit progenitor cell dysfunction. This study may offer some molecular and cellular insights into the mechanisms underlying the cardiovascular benefits of IPE therapy reported in the REDUCE-IT trial.

NCT ID: NCT04330209 Completed - Weight Loss Clinical Trials

Comparing a Low-GI Nutrigenetic and Ketogenic Diet for Weight Loss With 18 Month Follow-up

LOWGI_GENE
Start date: January 1, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigators followed a convenience sample of 114 overweight and obese subjects from a weight loss clinic who followed a 24-week dietary intervention. The subjects self-selected whether to follow a standardized ketogenic diet (n=53), or a personalised low-glycemic index (GI) diet utilising information from 28 single nucleotide polymorphisms (n=61). After the 24-week study period, the subjects were monitored for an additional 18 months.

NCT ID: NCT03885661 Completed - Dyslipidemias Clinical Trials

Vascepa to Accelerate Lipoprotein Uptake and Elimination

VALUE
Start date: January 11, 2016
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is a Phase 1 pilot/feasibility mechanistic experiment to help clarify the mechanism of action of an EPA-rich fish oil preparation, icosapent ethyl, on lipid changes in statin-treated patients with residual triglyceridemia.

NCT ID: NCT03528031 Completed - Diabetes Clinical Trials

Habitual Diet and Avocado Trial

HAT
Start date: June 19, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The Habitual Diet and Avocado Trial will evaluate the effects of providing one avocado per day for recommended consumption over a 6 month period in a cohort of approximately 1000 free-living participants with increased waist circumference in comparison with a control group that will maintain their habitual diets. Participants will be recruited and screened at 4 clinics in 4 locations: Pennsylvania State University; Loma Linda University; UCLA, and Tufts University (250 per site).

NCT ID: NCT03415568 Completed - Hyperlipidemias Clinical Trials

Effects of MCDG Oil on Postprandial Lipid Metabolism

Start date: June 30, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It is well known that medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) and diacylglycerols (DGs) have effects on lowering circulating triglycerides (TGs). In this study, the mixture of MCTs and DGs (MCDGs) examined whether it has beneficial effects on postprandial lipids metabolism compared to long-chain triglycerides (TGs).
