NCT ID: NCT05677204 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Achilles Tendinopathy

Influencing Factors of Acute Achilles Tendinopathy in Runners

AchTend
Start date: June 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Achilles tendinopathy is highly prevalent in runners, but its evolution is not easily predictable. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of clinical and social factors on the prognosis of acute (less than 3 months) Achilles tendinopathy in runners. Runners will be evaluated in person twice. At their first visit, data related to their training (frequency, intensity, …), their running pattern (cadence, foot contact angle) and shoes (minimalist index) will be collected. Moreover, an ultrasound evaluation of Achilles tendon will be performed. At one, two and three months after their initial evaluation, participants will receive a link to complete an online survey about their pain. Three months after their initial evaluation, a second ultrasound of Achilles tendon will be performed.

NCT ID: NCT05660824 Not yet recruiting - Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) and Platelets Rich Plasma (PRP) in Osteoarthritis and Tendinopathy

SPOT
Start date: June 2023
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

In a multi-centric, randomized, triple-blind controlled trial, 195 patients will be separated in 2 subgroups: 130 individuals with osteoarthritis and 65 with tendinopathies. The mian question to answer are the effect of SVF on : - The clinical improvenent - The cartilage thickness evolution in case of osteoarthritis - The tendon healing in case of thendinopathy Patients will receive an initial single PRP or PRP + SVF injection followed by one- and two-months PRP doses. In parallel, they will beneficiate of a proper rehabilitation plan with active physical therapies.

NCT ID: NCT05659134 Active, not recruiting - Pain, Chronic Clinical Trials

Comparison of Alfredson and Silbernagel Protocol in Competitive Athletes With Achilles Tendinopathy

Start date: December 2, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A 6-week randomized clinical trial (RCT) with a 46-week follow-up compared the effect of Alfredson and Silbernagel eccentric programs for the treatment of AT. The primary outcome was a change in the Victorian Institute of Sport Assessment - Achilles (VISA-A) scale from baseline to 12 months. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University (Project number: 254/2021). All participants provided written informed consent before participation.

NCT ID: NCT05648032 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Lateral Epicondylitis

PLT and Steroid in Lateral Epicondylopathy and Supraspinatus Calcific Tendinopathy

Start date: October 6, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

PLT vs. steroid vs. PLT + steroid, which treatment is most effective in lateral epicondylitis (or tennis elbow) and supraspinatus calcific tendinitis.

NCT ID: NCT05627102 Completed - Clinical trials for Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Structural and Functional Changes in Supraspinatus Tendinopathy Thtough Percutaneous Electrolysis and Neuromodulation Combined Therapy. A Single-blinded Randomized clínical Trial.

EPTE
Start date: October 15, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy show a big impact, however, there is a lack of awareness about the options of the physiotherapist treatment. It is necessary to do studies about effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneous electrolysis and neuromodulation. This technique enables treatment of the tendinopathies. To analyze the effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneou electrolysis and neuromodulation in the treatment of supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Single center randomized controlled trial, parallel treatment design. A specialist physician will be diagnosed the supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive treatmen for 4 weeks: percutaneou electrolysis and neuromodulation associated with eccentric exercises or conventional treatment of Physiotherapy with the same eccentric exercises. Both interventions were performed under ultrasound guidance with a portable ultrasound (General Electric LogicE). Data will be collected by a blinded evaluator.

NCT ID: NCT05613998 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Rotator Cuff Tendinosis

Physiotherapy Treatment of Shoulder Rotator Cuff Tendinopathies. Global Postural Reeducation or Aerobic Exercise?

Start date: October 30, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare in participant population (patients with rotator cuff tendinopathy of the shoulder) the effect of a Global Postural Reeducation (GPR) program vs. a nonspecific therapeutic (aerobic) exercise program

NCT ID: NCT05603468 Recruiting - Tendinopathy Clinical Trials

Effect of PRP vs Corticosteroid in Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy Subtypes in Arthroscopic Repair

Start date: October 24, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Prospective, multicenter, randomized, single-blinded, parallel group,placebo-controlled,three-group establishment of specific treatment regimen for subtypes of tendinopathy

NCT ID: NCT05602571 Completed - Clinical trials for Musculoskeletal Diseases

The Effectiveness of the Combination of PRP and ESWT in Lateral Epicondylitis

Start date: October 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of adding PRP or Sham PRP injection to ESWT treatment in patients with lateral epicondylitis on pain, muscle strength, functional activities, quality of life and work activities, and to determine the superiority of the treatments over each other.

NCT ID: NCT05597930 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

New 3D Printed Wrist Orthosis

Start date: May 2, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In order to offer a new product improving the healing and/or rehabilitation of injuries or injuries to the wrist and hand, Médicus is seeking to develop a new orthosis for the wrist and hand by 3D printing. This project will focus on the development of an orthosis related to carpal tunnel syndrome as well as droopy hand. Among the issues to be addressed in this development proposal, the investigators find: 1) Identification of the best methodology for taking digital impressions; design of an orthosis with the following characteristics: (i) no external attachment system, (ii) spiral design with a thumb ring, (iii) manufacturing by 3D printing and (iv) a cost of less than $150 ;3) Performing technical and clinical trials.
