Despite extensive research on periodontitis, little attention has been given to the symptoms and perception of peri-implant diseases and their impact on oral health-related quality of life. The study aims to assess patient perception of these diseases and their impact on quality of life through a cross-sectional observational study. Patients will be recruited from the Unit of Periodontics at "Le Scotte" University Hospital and will undergo diagnosis followed by questionnaire assessments. No follow-up visits are planned, and validated questionnaires will be administered to evaluate perception and impact on quality of life. Study procedures will include recording biometric peri-implant parameters and administering questionnaires such as the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (BIPQ) and Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14).
The goal of this online survey is to gain further insights in the needs and burden for a European registry for neuromodulation, according to healthcare providers.
The goal of this surgeon survey is to find out if orthopedic and trauma surgeons can predict outcomes in older adults with distal radius fractures. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Can orthopedic and trauma surgeons effectively predict which treatment would benefit a patient the most in terms of good outcome versus poor outcome (based on Δ PRWE) following casting or surgical treatment for displaced intra-articular distal radius fractures? - What are the perspectives of trauma surgeons and orthopedic surgeons on current literature? - What factors direct trauma surgeons and orthopedic surgeons to surgery?
The goal of this intervention study is to determine to what extent the Million Marker (MM) program reduces users' endocrine disruption chemical (EDC) exposure levels and changes their environmental health awareness and behaviors. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Can the investigators see a reduction in EDC levels in participants' urine samples after using the MM Detect and Detox kit? - Can the investigators see a change in participants' environmental health literacy, knowledge, and behaviors after using MM's products and services? - How can Million Marker improve their app and platform to improve the user experience? Participants will collect their urine pre- and post-intervention, and will take a comprehensive exposure survey (via the MM app) before sending back their samples. This exposure survey will ask about participant's product use, diet, and lifestyle behaviors. Participants will also fill out surveys pre- and post-intervention assessing their perception of environmental health, as well as usability of the platform.
It is known that the inhalation (nebulizer) use of drugs is of great importance in the intensive care of patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure of various origins. Searching PubMed data for the last 5 years (2017-2022) for the keywords "nebulizer therapy" revealed 533 publications, and "mesh nebulizer therapy" - only 25 sources. During the same period, the national database (E-Library) has 75 publications for the keywords "nebulizer therapy", and 4 sources for "mesh nebulizer therapy". It should be noted that almost all publications are devoted to the use of nebulizers for specific diseases and pathological syndromes. There are no works evaluating the adherence of specialists, systemic indications and actually used methods. The aim of trial is to study the current state of the use of nebulizer therapy in medical organizations and identify ways to improve its effectiveness This study is planned to be carried out using a questionnaire using a database based on the Internet electronic survey form.
Summary Introduction: Falls are involuntary events that cause loss of balance and hit the body on the ground or on another firm surface that stops it. 40% of people with various neurological disorders fall one or more times, and of all these, 21% suffer a fall-related injury. Objective and instrumented gait analysis is an important tool for estimating the risk of falls in patients. Objective: To describe the protocols used by physical therapist residing in Argentina when categorizing a balance problem within the framework of neurorehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, geriatrics and gerontology. Identify the barriers and facilitators self-perceived by physical therapist that make it difficult to weight deficiencies in balance. Method: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study of the online survey type will be carried out. The recommendations given by the Checklist for Reporting of Survey Studies will be used. The survey, which was created by the researchers of this study, will consist of 26 items divided into 4 sections. It will be aimed at all those physical therapist in Argentina who are dedicated to neurorehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, geriatrics and gerontology. The type of sampling used will be non-probabilistic by snowball, which will be done online through the SurveyMonkeyTM tool.
