Filter by:Children in foster care have an increased risk of exposure to adverse experiences during childhood and across the lifespan. In current studies of interventions children in foster care are often excluded, or they are too few to be included in statistical analyses of outcomes. As a consequence, knowledge on feasibility of treatment methods for some of the most exposed and maltreated children in society is sparse. Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is an intervention for children 0-6 years who have been exposed to adverse and traumatic events. CPP is currently being implemented in Sweden. The aim of this study is to investigate the feasibility of CPP for children in foster care.
The Professional Peer Resilience Initiative (PPRI) study is an observational study aimed at understanding how symptoms of traumatic stress and resilience evolve over time in the University of Minnesota (UMN) healthcare workforce during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The study is being conducted concurrently with a UMN peer support program called the MinnRAP program and will remotely administer quality of life and mental health surveys to healthcare workers before they start the MinnRAP program and throughout their participation in the program.
The Canadian Rapid Treatment Center of Excellence (CRTCE) is a healthcare facility principally focused on providing best practices of intravenous ketamine treatment to adult patients suffering from mental health conditions. The center focuses specifically on treating individuals suffering from major depression disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder as their primary diagnosis. Herein, this retrospective analysis aims to look at past data in order to further develop our understanding of ketamine in the use of psychiatry.
This study will provide preliminary estimates of safety and efficacy of the NightWare digital therapeutic system (iPhone + Apple watch + proprietary application) for the treatment of nightmare disorder associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)-related sleep disturbance and the impact of improved sleep with the NightWare digital therapeutic system. The investigators hypothesize that the NightWare digital therapeutic system will significantly improve sleep quality in participants with PTSD-Related nightmares and poor sleep quality.

The aim is to test whether the psychotherapeutic intervention Somatic Experiencing targeting Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms will have an additional positive effect on the outcomes of guided physiotherapy against chronic back pain development.
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of a 8-week program of Compassion Focused Therapy in Group comparing to Supportive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Group for patients with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
The scientific approach of this project proposes to build a cohort of "psychological injuries" post-attack of 13 November 2015. This is called patients "involved", ie patients who directly witnessed the events and having the most either came under automatic gunfire or were close to an explosion, whether or not physically injured. The main objective is to define and validate a model of transition from acute stress disorder (ASD) to posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for better detection of the risk of unfavorable and thus better patient supported. The first step is to determine independent risk factors found in analytic prospective cohort study. Bayesian models are well suited to exercise because they can integrate (i) the context related to the patient, (ii) the context related to the trauma itself, and (iii) the immediate reactions and long-term to the latter . They are particularly suited to understanding the brain disordered by saying down information (prior probability) wrong by improper memory of the traumatic event. The confrontation of these descending information and perceived bottom-information could be partly responsible for the symptoms of PTSD. Once validated, the model will characterize the individual level the most at risk of unfavorable patients (calculating a probability of developing PTSD) and to assess the epidemiological impact on long-term cohort of event considered. These determinations are necessary prerequisites to optimize the means of support for these current and future casualties. The investigators main objective is to define a Bayesian model describing a resilient functioning facing a trauma which also allows to describe a possible evolution of the ASD to PTSD by an error. The state of PTSD or not will be determined by the PCL-S scale.
The purpose of this interventional study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the NLP PTSD protocol in the event of PPPTSD. The study's main hypothesis is that the implementation of the NLP protocol will be effective and result in reduction of the overall PTSD level.
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a significant personal and societal burden. The purpose of this study is to examine genetic, epigenetic, behavioral, and brain activity changes related to PTSD dysfunction and recovery before and after treatment with Cognitive Processing Therapy.
