Filter by:This study is a prospective, multi-center, single-arm, open-label study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of therapy with the ProSomnus EVO Sleep and Snore Device in individuals with severe obstructive sleep apnea.
This project will assess patients with diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea, to investigate the impact of poor sleep on central pain mechanisms. Furthermore, the project will explore if restoring good sleep hygiene can improve the central pain mechanisms that may be associated with the risk of chronic pain.
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a common disorder with serious consequences that remains underrecognized, with >80% of OSA patients undiagnosed, and undertreated due to inadequate treatment options. The development of additional treatments for OSA, such as pharmacotherapy, are critically needed. The collaboration between Regeneron and Sanofi are funding this project. Regeneron will be providing the drug and the contract will be with Regeneron. Both companies are involved as it is a collaboration across the companies.
This study is designed to demonstrate feasibility of study conduct and that acceptable adherence to adaptive servo-ventilation (ASV) therapy can be achieved in recently hospitalized HFpEF patients with moderate to severe sleep apnea. All subjects meeting the criteria will receive ASV therapy.
