Filter by:The law about advance directives is evolving but, in France, few people write it. Te main endpoint of this research is to estimate the proportion of patients who have written their advance directives or considering doing so in onco-dermatologic population. If this rate remains low, some insights on the reasons will be able to be advanced looking at the point of view and opinion of patients about this topic. Seconds endpoints are : For patients against or not planning to write it, understand their reasons Estimate the proportion of patients requesting information and understand how they would like to receive it. Investigate a possible association between the stage of the oncological disease and the positioning of the patient concerning advance directives.
This is a multicenter prospective observational clinical investigation with a medical device. The purpose of this study is to develop and validate of a new type of digital dermatoscope with automatic decision support algorithms. By means of this study a better insight can be gained of the current performance and workflow in clinical dermatoscopy. This knowledge will be used to further improve the developed technology.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of fractional laser versus chemical peels on IGF-1 levels in skin.
This protocol will take measurements of a variety of tumors involving the skin in order to assess changes in tumor oxygen from hyperoxygenation therapy and standard cancer-directed treatments, to demonstrate the clinical feasibility of using in vivo Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) Oximetry to obtain clinically useful measurements of tumor oxygen levels from cancer patients.
The number of surgical procedures performed in ambulatory hospitalization for cancers of the skin or breast is increasing for medical and economic reasons. But the protocols of care and the clinical pathways are poorly adapted for elderly patients with physical or cognitive impairment. The goal of this study is to test the impact of an oncology ambulatory surgical care in patients aged 75 years or older, with breast or skin cancer and treated in Henri Mondor hospital on the increase in the proportion of patients operated on an outpatient basis
This pilot early phase I trial studies how well encorafenib, binimetinib, and nivolumab work in treating patients with BRAF mutant stage IIIC-IV melanoma. Encorafenib and binimetinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with nivolumab, may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving encorafenib, binimetinib, and nivolumab may kill more tumor cells.
In this study, patients with BCC will be given neoadjuvant treatment with a drug called sonidegib. Sonidegib is a daily tablet usually given for BCC that cannot be removed by surgery or that has spread through the body. The study aims to see if sonidegib given for 12 weeks will reduce the size of tumours so surgery results in less scarring or may be avoided, with only short term topical treatment required to treat remaining tumour.
The single center, prospective, randomized trial includes in total 60 patients. We want to compare two different treatment methods for compression therapy for split thickness skin graft in lower leg. The patients are randomized to compression therapy with NPWT (negative pressure wound therapy) using the device PICO or using the compression bandage with Coban 2 lite. Primary outcome is complete healing of the skin transplant 30 days postoperatively. Secondary outcomes will be to note frequency of infection, bleeding, loss of transplant etc.
The purpose of this research study is to examine the relationship between the microbiota (microscopic organisms) in the gut and the activity of the immune system during skin cancer immunotherapy.
The primary objective is to collect emission spectra of normal tissue, pigmented normal lesion, benign lesion, SCC, BCC and melanoma to construct the database and validate the classifying algorithm.
