Acupuncture for Joint Symptoms in Patients With Breast Cancer: A Randomised Controlled Trial
Joint symptoms including stiffness, local pain and aches are common adverse reactions among breast cancer (BC) patients undergoing hormone treatments, while effective interventions for managing such symptoms have not been well explored so far. Acupuncture can be a promising approach to controlling joint symptoms in BC patients but current research evidence generated from several small-scale clinical studies have not been robust enough to support the use of acupuncture for cancer symptom management in routine practice. The overall aim of the research project is to examine the effectiveness of a 6-week acupuncture protocol for the management of joint symptoms in Chinese female BC patients who are currently undergoing hormone treatments following the completion of taxane-based chemotherapy. Given the lack of available data regarding the prevalence of joint symptoms in BC patients in mainland China, a large cross-sectional survey will also be performed to examine the incidence of joint symptoms among Chinese BC patients in mainland China and the impact of joint symptoms on patients' quality of life.

The trial was completed by Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Northwest Women and Children's Hospital. Thirty-five patients with POR who underwent ART (Assisted Reproductive) treatment were observed in each center. Patients in the experimental group were given acupuncture treatment for 12 weeks prior to COH. If the patient has a good COH timing during acupuncture treatment, she will enter the COH cycle at any time. Patients in the control group waited for 12 weeks before COH. In this study, the COH regimen of the two groups of patients was the same, and the appropriate ovulation induction protocol was selected by the investigator according to the B-ultrasound and endocrine conditions of the patient's menstrual day 1-3. At the end of treatment, patients were observed for the number of eggs in the COH cycle, fertilization rate, cleavage rate, available embryo rate, high quality embryo rate, implantation rate, ovarian reserve function assessment, menstrual status and peri-menopausal symptoms.

The Clinical Effects of Laser Acupuncture Therapy for OAB Women: a Randomized Controlled Trial.
Overactive bladder (OAB) is a syndrome causes urgency, with or without urgent incontinence, daytime frequency and nocturia. Urgency incontinence is more common in older women and may be associated with comorbid conditions that occur with age. The standard OAB medical treatments may induced several intolerable side effects including dry mouth, constipation, and so on, therefore alternative therapies are often considered. Acupuncture had been proved effective to OAB treatment, however, this invasive procedure also cause pain and hematoma. Laser acupuncture has minimal side effects comparing to conventional acupuncture, but its effects against OAB had never been examined. Experiments with laser acupuncture are expected to be another way to relieve OAB symptoms.

The Effect of Acupuncture on Pain, IL 17 and IL 23 in Endovenous Ablation; Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Study.
Acupuncture has emerged in China about 2,000 years ago and is one of the oldest medical procedures in the world. Acupuncture continued to evolve and develop over the centuries, and gradually became one of the standard treatments used in China. Introduced to other regions such as Asia, Europe and the United States. The most extensive use of acupuncture is for pain relief. Analgesic Effect of Acupuncture for Patients With Rib Fractures: a Randomized-controlled Trial
Traumatic rib fractures are common, resulting from significant forces impacting on the chest, and are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Acute pain management in inpatients with traumatic rib fractures has been highly emphasized by practitioners. Inappropriate analgesia may cause respiratory complications, including pneumonia, atelectasis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and prolonged hospital stay. These may be prevented or reduced by good analgesic therapy. This study is aimed to investigate the analgesic effect of acupuncture on traumatic rib fractures.
