Study of Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) Monotherapy in Advanced Solid Tumors and Pembrolizumab Combination Therapy in Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer/ Extensive-disease Small Cell Lung Cancer (MK-3475-011/KEYNOTE-011)

A Phase I Study of MK-3475 Alone in Subjects With Advanced Solid Tumors and in Combination With Platinum-Doublet Chemotherapy or Immunotherapy in Subjects With Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer/Extensive-Disease Small Cell Lung Cancer.

This study using pembrolizumab (MK-3475) will be done in 5 parts. In Part A, successive participant cohorts with advanced solid tumors will receive pembrolizumab to assess the safety and tolerability of monotherapy. In Parts B, C, and D, participants with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) will receive pembrolizumab in combination with either cisplatin/pemetrexed or carboplatin/pemetrexed (Part B); with either carboplatin/paclitaxel or carboplatin/nab-paclitaxel (Part C); or with ipilimumab (Part D) by non-random assignment to assess the safety and tolerability of the combination therapy. In Part E, participants with untreated Extensive-disease (ED) Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) will receive pembrolizumab in combination with either cisplatin/etoposide, carboplatin/etoposide, or cisplatin/etoposide with prophylactic use of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (lasting G-CSF [pegfilgrastim]) by non-random assignment to assess the safety and tolerability of the combination therapy.

GSK2302032A Antigen-Specific Cancer Immunotherapeutic as Adjuvant Therapy in Patients With Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

The purpose of this study was to test a potential new kind of anti-cancer treatment, called PRAME immunotherapy in resected patients with lung cancer. Based on scientific and medical relevance, the clinical study was ended on 24 August 2016. The participants were no longer enrolled in the study, the follow ups on subjects were stopped and the collection and analysis of samples for further research purposes was stopped. After the stop to recruitment, the study was unblinded, as per the amended protocol, the study treatment was continued and completed with the subjects of the active treatment group who were willing to continue. Subjects in the placebo group were withdrawn. There was no longer an active follow-up of patients after discontinuation or completion of the treatment. The study ended 30 days after the last dose was administered. As a result, primary and secondary objectives were not assessed as planned. All clinical and safety data collected in the study were analysed descriptively. For each biological sample already collected in the scope of this study and not tested yet, testing was not performed by default, except if a scientific rationale remained relevant despite the premature termination of the study.

Cancer Treatment Followed by Surgery for Early Stage Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Phase I/II Study of Neoadjuvant Bortezomib in Combination With Docetaxel and Cisplatin Followed by Surgery in Early Stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.

- The purpose of the phase I portion of the study is to determine the safety and feasibility of neoadjuvant bortezomib in combination with docetaxel and cisplatin followed by surgery in early stage non-small cell lung cancer, via a multi-cohort dose escalation trial. - The phase II portion of the study will look at the clinical response rate and the pathology response rate. Other purposes are to look at surgical morbidity, mortality and respectability rates. Molecular correlates of response and survival to this neoadjuvant regimen will be explored.

The BIRD biobank aims at collecting clinical and biological data from patients suffering from a chronic respiratory disease. The lung cancer subpopulation will be divided into two cohorts to identify biomarkers of cancer. One cohort will include patients with supra-centimetric lung nodule(s) whether surveillance, bronchoscopic or radio-guided biopsy or surgery is indicated, patients suspected of lung cancers requiring diagnostic and/or therapeutic bronchial endoscopy and patients with a known early stage lung cancer (early-stage cohort). The second cohort will include known advanced stage lung cancers (III-IV).

This is a multi-center observational study of atezolizumab combination therapy in patients with unresectable, advanced and recurrent non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) or extensive disease small cell lung cancer(ED-SCLC). 800 patients in NSCLC cohort and 400 patients in ED-SCLC cohort will be enrolled in this trial to assess the efficacy and safety of this combination.
