NCT ID: NCT04510623 Recruiting - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Host Response Mediators in Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection

ARBS CORONA I
Start date: March 17, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to grow exponentially. Angiotensin II levels are increased in human influenza and are associated with influenza viral load, disease progression and mortality. Preliminary data shows angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) limits lung injury in murine influenza H7N9, as well as viral titre and RNA. ARBs could limit viral titre and organ injury in COVID-19. We will therefore collect clinical chart data and test angiotensin II levels of patients who are admitted to ICU with COVID-19 to determine whether there is a correlation between taking ARBs and clinical outcomes in these patients. Other blood biomarkers and clinical risk factors for COVID-19 have come to light in recent weeks. We include these in our observational analysis to help generate an understanding of COVID-19 presentation and blood biomarker characterization of disease.

NCT ID: NCT04497987 Completed - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

A Study of LY3819253 (LY-CoV555) and LY3832479 (LY-CoV016) in Preventing SARS-CoV-2 Infection and COVID-19 in Nursing Home Residents and Staff

BLAZE-2
Start date: August 2, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether LY3819253 given alone and with LY3832479 prevent severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and coronavirus disease - 2019 (COVID-19). Facility staff and residents in contracted skilled nursing and assisted living facility networks with a high risk of SARS-CoV-2 exposure will receive LY3819253, LY3819253 and LY3832479, or placebo via an injection into a vein. Samples will be taken from the nose. Blood samples will be drawn. Participation could last up to 25 weeks and may include up to 19 visits.

NCT ID: NCT04496076 Completed - Clinical trials for Traumatic Brain Injury

COVID-19 Brain Injury

Start date: April 2, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A prospective cohort minimal risk study to determine the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on outcomes of neurologically injured ICU patients.

NCT ID: NCT04495933 Completed - Covid19 Clinical Trials

A Study on the Safety, Tolerability and Immune Response of SARS-CoV-2 Sclamp (COVID-19) Vaccine in Healthy Adults

Start date: July 13, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is being conducted to look at the safety and immune response (how the immune system of the human body reacts) to a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 (the virus responsible for COVID-19 infection) when administered as an intramuscular injection (an injection directly into the muscle) to the upper arm of healthy participants, on two occasions at least 28 days apart.

NCT ID: NCT04482712 Withdrawn - Respiratory Failure Clinical Trials

Effects of mTOR Inhibition With Sirolimus (RAPA) in Patients With COVID-19 to Moderate the Progression of ARDS

RAPA-CARDS
Start date: April 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study assesses the clinical effectiveness of mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibition with rapamycin in minimizing or decreasing the severity of acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome (ALI/ARDS) in participants infected with mild to moderate COVID-19 virus.

NCT ID: NCT04482686 Active, not recruiting - Covid-19 Clinical Trials

Trial of Combination Therapy to Treat COVID-19 Infection

Start date: December 9, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

In this trial patients will be treated with either a combination of therapies to treat COVID-19 or a placebo. Treatment will last 10 days, and patients will be followed for 6 months.

NCT ID: NCT04477993 Terminated - SARS-CoV2 Clinical Trials

Ruxolitinib for Acute Respiratory Disorder Syndrome Due to COVID-19

RUXO-COVID
Start date: August 14, 2020
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a dramatic effect in public health worldwide. In Brazil, there have been more than 2 million confirmed cases and over 75,000 deaths since February 26, 2020. Based on reports of a hyperinflammatory state associated with COVID-19, the use of immunosuppressive drugs may be efficacious in the treatment of this disease. JAK inhibitors have been shown to harness inflammation in a number of different pathologic conditions. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of JAK inhibitor ruxolitinib in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome due to COVID-19.

NCT ID: NCT04475211 Recruiting - Sars-CoV2 Clinical Trials

LILLE COVID RESEARCH NETWORK (Covid-19)

LICORNE
Start date: August 10, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The Lille University Hospital developped a research objective common to all the services which took care of patients, "suspected patient", "possible case", "probable case" or "confirmed case" infected with SARS-CoV-2 by constituting a prospective and a retrospective observational cohort which allowed pooling and sharing the resources and data collected. In the next two years the prospective cohort will allow to continue inclusions in a standardized way mainly for the constitution of a negative control group (excluded cases), to collect biological samples which had not been collected in the retrospective cohort so that the pathophysiology of the COVID-19 will be better apprehended as for example the inflammatory response to the viral infection. Finally in case of a second epidemic wave in the Hauts De France, it seems essential to have a defined research protocol which had already received all the necessary authorizations to guarantee cutting-edge (or quality ) research in a center like the Lille University Hospital. The aim objective of this study is to identify predictive factors of mortality to day 28 infection to SARS-CoV-2 for patients under medical care for the COVID-19 in the Lille University Hospital thanks to the constitution of an epidemiological, clinical, biological, immunological, genetic, microbiological, anatomopathologic, radiological, therapeutic database and so record the results of functional exploration exams.

NCT ID: NCT04475068 Completed - ARDS Clinical Trials

Postural Recruitment Maneuver in Patients With Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Due to COVID-19 Infection

Start date: July 17, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to evaluate if a postural recruitment maneuver (PRM) improves the aeration and distribution of lung ventilation in patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) caused by COVID-19 infection; without the need to reach high airway pressures as in the standard lung recruitment maneuver and / or place the patient in prone position. This strategy could be particularly useful in the context of a major health emergency in centers with limited resources.

NCT ID: NCT04472728 Terminated - Covid-19 Clinical Trials

Testing the Efficacy and Safety of BIO101 for the Prevention of Respiratory Deterioration in COVID-19 Patients

COVA
Start date: August 26, 2020
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The COVA clinical study is a global multicentric, double-blind, placebo-controlled, group sequential and adaptive 2 parts phase 2-3 study targeting in patients with SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia. Part 1 is a Phase 2 exploratory Proof of Concept (PoC) study to provide preliminary data on the activity, safety and tolerability of BIO101 in the target population. Part 2 is a phase 3 pivotal randomized study to provide further evidence of safety and efficacy of BIO101 after 28 days of double-blind dosing. BIO101 is the investigational new drug that activates the Mas receptor (MasR) through the protective arm of the Renin Angiotensin System (RAS).
