C Mill Virtual Reality Applied Rehabilitation and Classical Rehabilitation on Gait and Balance in Parkinson's Patients

Start date: June 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this research; the investigators would like to compare the results of patients with Parkinson's disease in the two groups who received classical physical therapy and rehabilitation program and virtual reality assisted walking and balance exercise at the beginning (1st rehabilitation day =1. day) and end of rehabilitation (21st rehabilitation day=50.day). In addition, the investigators aimed to reveal the change of gait and balance parameters by measuring the C-mill walking and balance rehabilitation device with numerical data and graphic analysis.

Immediate Weightbearing vs Delayed Weightbearing

Start date: April 10, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to perform a feasibility trial of immediate versus delayed weight bearing following fixation of fractures of the lower extremity, pelvis, and acetabulum. The investigator will enroll patients from Shock Trauma over a period of 12 months, and randomize them to immediate weight bearing as tolerated (WBAT) versus delayed WBAT (non-weightbearing for 6-12 weeks). Four specific feasibility criteria will be assessed: enrollment (target 50%), follow-up (target 90% at 3 months), correct documentation of weight bearing (target 90%), correct documentation of primary outcomes, which include reoperation and hardware failure (target 90%). Target enrollment is patients with fractures where the current standard of care is delayed WBAT; for lower extremity this will include fractures of the distal femur, proximal tibia, and distal tibia, including select fractures with intra-articular extension. If feasibility criteria are met over the course of this study, the investigator hopes to move forward with a multicenter randomized controlled trial on this topic.

Synergizing Home Health Rehabilitation Therapy

Start date: October 6, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this project is to pilot test an ADL (activities of daily living)-enhanced program as an adjuvant therapy to usual home health rehabilitation to improve patient outcomes. The project will compare the ADL-enhanced program plus usual care with usual care using an RCT design in home health patients.
