NCT ID: NCT03105687 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of SMS Reminders of Blood Pressure-lowering Drugs Intake

SPPA
Start date: June 16, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

By conducting the SPPA trial we try to find out, whether personalized Short Message Service (SMS) reminders of blood pressure-lowering medication can effectively increase patients' adherence to blood pressure-lowering medication. Additionally, we also evaluate their effect on patients' systolic blood pressure control.

NCT ID: NCT02194465 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension

A Study of LY2623091 in Participants With High Blood Pressure

Start date: August 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the study drug known as LY2623091 in participants with high blood pressure.

NCT ID: NCT02184858 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension

Dose Titration of Lisinopril in Children Aged 1 to 18 Years With Primary or Secondary Hypertension

Lisi-ped
Start date: June 25, 2014
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This open label 4 month study will evaluate efficacy (blood pressure lowering effects) and safety of lisinopril in children 1-18y whose parents grant permission to participate. This dose titration study is being conducted to support the statement that personalized titration of lisinopril (based on blood pressure and renin-aldosterone ratio) can increase patient response.

NCT ID: NCT01904695 Completed - Clinical trials for Hypertension, Resistant to Conventional Therapy

Causal Inference Research of Resistant Hypertension Treatment With Chinese Approach in a Cohort Study

Start date: August 2013
Phase: Phase 0
Study type: Interventional

The research of clinical effectiveness assessment is to explore the causal relationship between treatment and outcome.Accordingly, based on the effectiveness of tan-yu treatment, the research takes the Resistant Hypertension (RH) as example to study the causal inference methods under real world.

NCT ID: NCT01392534 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension

Effects of Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide Treatment in Hypertensive Patients Under Real-life Setting

POTASSIUM
Start date: July 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

One of the most common adverse effects resulting from the therapy with thiazides, thiazide-like diuretics and loop diuretics is increased potassium secretion. Disregulation of plasma potassium may be a life-threatening condition due to increased risk of arrythmias. Moreover, it has been postulated that decrease in plasma potassium level may negatively affect glucose metabolism resulting in the increased risk of new-onset type 2 diabetes. The main goal of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide in a broad population of hypertensive patients, including the effects of the therapy on plasma potassium level and also on selected parameters of glucose and lipid metabolism.

NCT ID: NCT01241487 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension

A National Multicentre Study to Assess the Efficacy of the Fixed Combination of Valsartan and Amlodipine in Hypertensive Patients Not Controlled by Monotherapy

Start date: February 2009
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is to assess the efficacy of the fixed combination of Valsartan and Amlodipine in hypertensive patients uncontrolled by monotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT00882947 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension

Post-Marketing Surveillance of Ventavis® in Chinese Patients With Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH)

Start date: February 2006
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of inhaled Iloprost (Ventavis®) among adult Chinese patients with primary pulmonary hypertension, which is in compliance with Chinese SFDA regulation.

NCT ID: NCT00865501 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension

Importance of Aldosterone in the Pathogenesis of Hypertensive Heart Disease

Start date: March 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone-system is important in the development of cardiovascular organ damage caused by arterial hypertension. This study aims at evaluating the importance of aldosterone with regard to hypertension induced damage to the heart. In order to do this the investigators will perform a comparative cross-sectional study in hypertensives and normotensives. In addition as interventional part the hypertensives will be treated with a mineralocorticoid-receptor blocker (spironolactone).

NCT ID: NCT00819104 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension

A Study to Compare the Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of Selomax With Its Individual Components

MARS
Start date: November 2008
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomised, open-label; parallel group, multicentric study comparing the efficacy and safety of fixed-dose-combinations of Metoprolol XL plus Amlodipine with individual components of the combination. SelomaxTM50/5 will also be compared with SelomaxTM 25/2.5 in lowering of BP (SBP and DBP) in Indian patients with essential hypertension.Male and female patients of essential hypertension aged between 18-80 years will be studied. The patients should not have a history of prior cardiovascular disease.

NCT ID: NCT00794885 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension
