NCT ID: NCT05208034 Completed - Ectopic Pregnancy Clinical Trials

Medical Treatment in Ectopic Tubal Pregnancy

Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Ectopic pregnancy (EP) is estimated to be responsible for approximately 20% of all pregnancy-related mortality and 46% early pregnancy mortality.1 Hemodynamically stable women with EP are frequently managed with methotrexate (MTX) while multiple protocols like fixed multiple doses, single-dose as well as two-dose regimens have been in practice for treating EP, but no consensus exists regarding the optimum dosage regimen.

NCT ID: NCT05198141 Completed - Ectopic Pregnancy Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Different Doses of Letrozole in Ectopic Pregnancy

letrezole
Start date: December 15, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The utilization of letrozole at a daily dose of 10 mg for medical treatment of ectopic pregnancy considerably has a high success rate without imposing any serious side effects compared to daily 5mg letrozole.

NCT ID: NCT05136274 Recruiting - Ectopic Pregnancy Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Ipsilateral Tubal Patency After Conservative Medical or Surgical Treatment.

EENCBE
Start date: August 17, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Ectopic Pregnancy is an entity in which a fertilized ovum is implanted outside its normal place, is considered a public health problem worldwide and is one of the main causes of maternal mortality in the first trimester. The availability of high sensitivity methods of detection of gonadotrophins and the use of high resolution transvaginal ultrasonography have allowed an earlier diagnosis of the same, enabling less aggressive treatments such as the use of parenteral MTX, with the intention of avoiding mutilating surgical treatment , preserving the tube and eventually improving future fertility expectations. The surgical treatment is of choice, this can be laparoscopically or by laparotomy. In this case, we need to preserve fertility, the most indicated is linear salpingostomy; In spite of the existence other techniques.

Expectant Management of Ectopic Pregnancy

Start date: July 20, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of expectant management in the treatment of tubal ectopic pregnancy and identification of different factors that can be used to predict its success.

NCT ID: NCT04951011 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Woman With Tubal Ectopic Pregnancy

Different Treatment Options for Tubal Ectopic Pregnancy:- A Systmatic Review

Start date: July 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Ectopic pregnancy is an early pregnancy complication in which a fertilized ovum implant outside the uterine cavity. Implantation may occur anywhere along the reproductive tract with the most common implantation site being the fallopian tube. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is 1% of pregnant women, and may seriously compromise women's health and future fertility. Currently, ectopic pregnancy can be often diagnosed before the woman's condition has deteriorated, which has altered the former clinical picture of a lifethreatening disease into a more benign condition in frequently asymptomatic women.

NCT ID: NCT04738370 Recruiting - Ectopic Pregnancy Clinical Trials

Assessment of Biomarkers in Pregnancy on Unknown Location and Ectopic Pregnancy

Start date: December 8, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To further develop the patient care pathway for women classified with a pregnancy of unknown location (PUL) and ectopic pregnancy (EP).

NCT ID: NCT04371991 Completed - Ectopic Pregnancy Clinical Trials

Kisspeptin Levels in Early Pregnancy

Start date: January 5, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Kisspeptins are a family of neuropeptides that are critical for the puberty initiation and female fertility. The investigators aimed to investigate in this study kisspeptin levels in early pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, and early pregnancy loss.

NCT ID: NCT04341545 Recruiting - Tubal Pregnancy Clinical Trials

Letrozole in Tubal Ectopic Pregnancy

Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-centred randomized controlled trial on the addition of letrozole in the medical management of tubal ectopic pregnancies. Tubal ectopic pregnancies are abnormal pregnancies in the Fallopian tube, rather than in the womb. They occurred in around 1-2% of all pregnancies. Methotrexate (MTX) given by the intramuscular route i.e. systemic, a commonly used drug for cancer , was a widely used alternative for management for unruptured tubal ectopic pregnancies and was recommended as first line treatment for selected women. Letrozole, aromatase inhibitor, can suppose oestradiol level. Combination of letrozole with misprostol has shown to improve the complete abortion rate in miscarriage. As a result, addition of letrozole may cause a higher success rate in the medical treatment of ectopic pregnancy. As the evidence of combination of MTX and letrozole in tubal ectopic pregnancies is not available, the objective of the present study is to evaluate the efficacy of combination of MTX and letrozole compared to MTX alone in women with tubal ectopic pregnancies.
