Filter by:The goal of this observational study is to learn about the role of Time-in-Range to stratify the risk of micro vascular complications in adults with type 2 diabetes. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is a lower Time-in-Range associated with a higher risk of diabetes microvascular complications, independent of HbA1c? 2. Is Time-in-Range lower among sulfonylurea and premixed insulin therapy users compared to non-sulfonylurea and non-premixed insulin therapy users, respectively.
This clinical, prospective study aims to evaluate the usefulness of electronically captured wearable data to assess disease activity in CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy) patients undergoing IVIG treatment. Close clinical monitoring will complement smartwatch-acquired data to shed light on different patient clusters and end-of-dose phenomena.
This is a follow-up study of subjects who received NTLA-2001 in a previous clinical trial as an observational evaluation of the long-term effects of the investigational therapy.
Newborn screening (NBS) is a global initiative of systematic testing at birth to identify babies with pre-defined severe but treatable conditions. With a simple blood test, rare genetic conditions can be easily detected, and the early start of transformative treatment will help avoid severe disabilities and increase the quality of life. Baby Detect Project is an innovative NBS program using a panel of target sequencing that aims to identify 126 treatable severe early onset genetic diseases at birth caused by 361 genes. The list of diseases has been established in close collaboration with the Paediatricians of the University Hospital in Liege. The investigators use dedicated dried blood spots collected between the first day and 28 days of life of babies, after a consent sign by parents.
This study was planned to examine the effect of home-based mini trampoline exercise program on diabetic foot care behavior and diabetic polyneuropathy in Type 2 diabetes patients.
The main objective of this type 2 hybrid implementation effectiveness trial is to implement a contextually appropriate preventive intervention for 12 weeks face to face group foot and ankle exercises for people with diabetic foot in the primary care of the city of Limeira/SP, through the training of Primary Care workers. The study will monitor the implementation itself and the clinical outcomes: clinical and functional status and quality of life.
Sensorimotor diabetic polyneuropathy is a common and serious complication of longstanding diabetes mellitus. The therapeutic options are limited (pain therapy, antidepressants, physical measures using direct current such as two- / four-cell baths). In the present study, for the first time, after positive data from a pilot study, it is to be checked whether the effectiveness of an existing therapy can be extended by treatment with heated granulate stones in the rehabilitation setting.
This study is designed to investigate the efficacy of the Test Product in subjects with clinically diagnosed peripheral sensory polyneuropathy of different etiologies compared to placebo.
Current dosing practices for immunoglobulin G (IgG) may be inadequate in extreme body weight. The current study will evaluate the influence of body composition on intravenous and subcutaneous administration of immunoglobulin G in patients.
This is a multi-center, randomized, quadruple-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of batoclimab in adult participants with active CIDP. The study includes an up to 4-week Screening Period, an up to 12-week Washout Period, a 12-week Randomized Treatment Period (Period 1), an up to 24-week Randomized Withdrawal Period (Period 2), an up to 52-week Long-term Extension (LTE) Period (optional), and Safety Follow-up 4 weeks after the last dose of study treatment. The total study duration will be up to approximately 109 weeks. Eligible participants will be assigned to one of four cohorts based upon their baseline CIDP treatment (Cohorts A and D - immunoglobulin [Ig] or plasma exchange [PLEX]; Cohort B - corticosteroids; Cohort C - naive or untreated in previous 3-24 months) and whether they meet diagnosis according to the European Academy of Neurology/Peripheral Nerve Society (EAN/PNS) criteria (Cohorts A, B, and C) or clinical criteria only (Cohort D) at the time of screening.
