Filter by:All patients diagnosed or followed in Brest University Hospital for Philadelphia negative myeloproliferative neoplasms will be included in this observational study. Myeloproliferative neoplasms recorded included: polycythemia vera, essential Thrombocythemia and Primary Myelofibrosis. This is a not interventional study. Alive patients need to sign a non-opposition consent form. Patients will be followed until last news (death, change of reference centre...).
Patients treated with oral or sub-cutaneous drugs for polycythemia vera or essential thrombocythemia completed an unique paper questionnaire in order to describe their observance, the side effects and their own appreciation of the taken drug.
The main purpose of this investigational research study is to determine how safe and tolerable the study drug, MEDI4736 (Durvalumab), is in patients with myelofibrosis (MF). The study drug belongs to a group of drugs called immune checkpoint inhibitors, which have shown promise in other forms of cancer, such as melanoma and lung cancer. One of the effects that this drug has is to activate the patient's own natural immune system. The purpose of this study is to examine the safety and tolerability of the study drug, to study how effective it is at treating patients with myelofibrosis, and to explore how certain markers in the patient's blood and/or bone marrow may be affected by the study drug.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the endoplasmic reticulum stress markers as predictive for response to hydroxyurea in polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET).
Iron deficiency is a known feature of PV, occurs because of accelerated erythropoiesis, gastrointestinal blood loss and phlebotomy. Incidence and effect of iron deficiency in these patients is not well characterized. The study will assess the incidence of iron deficiency at diagnosis and during the course of PV, assess effect of iron deficiency on patient symptoms and its correlation with disease features. This is a multicenter, non-interventional, non-randomized, prospective, observational study in an adult population (patients >18 years old) of patients who have been diagnosed with PV and are being followed in either community or academic medical centers in Israel.
The main purpose of this investigational research study is to determine how safe and tolerable the study drug siltuximab is in patients with myelofibrosis (MF). This medication has been approved by the FDA for another condition (multicentric castleman's disease (MCD), but not for myelofibrosis (MF). In MCD, siltuximab resulted in improvement in symptoms and anemia. While MCD and MF are different diseases, they share some common features including a protein call interleukin-6 (IL-6) that may be important in causing symptoms of MCD and MF.
The mandate of this MPN registry is to collect clinical information, including molecular results, from consenting patients with a variety of MPNs at different time points during the course of their disease.
This study involves observing the level of cell cycle regulatory gene in patients with myeloproliferative disorders(MPD). These disorders include polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET), myelofibrosis (MF) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). The abnormal blood and/or bone marrow cells, or materials derived from these abnormal cells, like DNA, RNA, protein or plasma will be used in laboratory studies. Cell cycle regulatory protein such as cyclins, cyclin-dependent kinases(Cdks) and Cdk inhibitors(CKIs) play indispensable roles in processes such as transcription, metabolism and stem cell self-renewal. MPD are a group of diseases characterized by abnormally increased proliferation of erythroid, megakaryocytic, or granulocytic cells. The pathogenesis was still unclear. Detecting the level of cell cycle regulatory protein will be useful to look for the possible role in MPD and better understand the cause of MPD.
To evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of pacritinib in Asian subjects with myelofibrosis (MF), which includes primary MF (PMF), post-polycythemia vera MF (PPV-MF) or post-essential thrombocythemia MF (PET-MF).
The Philadelphia chromosome negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) comprise a group of clonal hematological malignancies that are characterized by chronic myeloproliferation, splenomegaly, different degrees of bone marrow fibrosis, and disease-related symptoms including pruritus, night sweats, fever, weight loss, cachexia, and diarrhea. In addition, due to elevated numbers of leucocytes, erythrocytes and/or platelets, the disease course can be complicated by thromboembolic disease, hemorrhage, and leukemic transformation as well as myelofibrosis. Patients with polycythemia vera (PV) typically harbor an increased number of blood cells from all three hematopoietic cell lineages due to clonal amplification of hematopoetic stem cells, while patients with essential thrombocythemia (ET) typically show a predominant expansion of the megakaryocytic lineage. Most patients with PV below the age of 60 years are currently being treated with acetylsalicylic acid +/- phlebotomy only, and patients with low-risk ET have an almost normal life expectancy and often do not require specific treatment. However, PV- as well as ET-patients with a higher risk for complications require cytoreductive treatment. In addition, constitutional symptoms can be unbearable to patients even in the absence of bona fide high risk factors, and these patients may similarly benefit from antineoplastic therapy.
