Maintenance Avelumab Immunotherapy in Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Squamous Cell Penile Carcinoma

PULSE
Start date: March 12, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Patients with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic squamous cell penile carcinoma (SPC) who are in response or with stable disease after first line platinum containing polychemotherapy who meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria will be offered to take part in the study. The patients may be pre-screened at the time of the 1st line chemotherapy. In order for patients to be enrolled, the investigator must have carried out a radiological assessment of the disease during first line systemic treatment (a maximum of between 3 and 6 cycles): the cancer must be controlled. Patients with disease progression cannot be included in the PULSE study as this is a maintenance study. After inclusion, Avelumab will be administered at a dose of 10 mg/kg, at a frequency of once every 2 weeks with appropriate supportive care.

NCT ID: NCT02837042 Terminated - Clinical trials for Penile Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Trial of Pembrolizumab for Advanced Penile Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Start date: October 2016
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Penile squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) is relatively rare but exhibits higher incidences in less developed countries. PSCC is a highly aggressive malignancy characterized by early spread. Pembrolizumab has recently been FDA-approved for the treatment of melanoma but will serve as the investigational agent for this penile cancer study.

NCT ID: NCT02834013 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with rare tumors. Cabozantinib S-malate and Nivolumab With or Without Ipilimumab in Treating Patients With Metastatic Genitourinary Tumors

Start date: July 22, 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best doses of cabozantinib s-malate and nivolumab with or without ipilimumab in treating patients with genitourinary (genital and urinary organ) tumors that have spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Cabozantinib s-malate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known whether giving cabozantinib s-malate and nivolumab alone or with ipilimumab works better in treating patients with genitourinary tumors.

NCT ID: NCT01807546 Completed - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Oral Rigosertib for Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Start date: March 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to determine if tumors in patients with papillomavirus (HPV) positive or negative squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) that no longer responds to standard therapy will decrease in size following treatment with the investigational drug, rigosertib sodium (ON 01910.Na). A secondary objective is to determine if treatment with rigosertib causes any side effects. Rigosertib is an investigational drug, which means that it has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat any diseases. We are studying rigosertib as a new anticancer drug. Tests that we have done in the laboratory suggest that rigosertib works by blocking cell division in cancer cells and causing them to die.
