NCT ID: NCT04297553 Completed - PCOS Clinical Trials

Fresh Versus Freeze-only After CAPA IVM on PCOS Patients

Start date: March 6, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

IVM (in vitro maturation) has been proved to be a more friendly treatment protocol for PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) patients compared with conventional controlled ovarian stimulation, with less complications (especially ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome), shorter treatment duration, lower cost, and acceptable pregnancy outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT04263415 Completed - PCOS Clinical Trials

The Effects of Semaglutide on Taste, Tongue Tissue Transcriptome, Gastric Emptying and Central Neural Response in Women With PCOS and Obesity

Start date: November 2, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to explore the effects of GLP-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA) semaglutide on modulation of taste sensitivity, tongue tissue transcriptome, modulation of neural response in central reward processing regions and gastric emptying rate. In addition, we aim to investigate the associations between semaglutide induced modulation of taste sensitivity, neural responses and gastric emptying with changes in body mass, eating- behavioural pattern, food perception and food intake.

NCT ID: NCT04204044 Not yet recruiting - PCOS Clinical Trials

Comparison of Myoinositol and Metformin in PCO

PCO
Start date: November 1, 2020
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Aim of the study is to compare the effect of myoinositol and metformin in the resumption of the spontaneous menstrual cycle in patients diagnosed with PCOS or having oligo/amenorrhea, reduction in weight and BMI, Improvement in the biochemical and clinical profile of patients with the polycystic syndrome. The secondary outcome measured will be the rate of pregnancy, miscarriage and term pregnancy among these patients inducted in the study. It will be a Three-arm prospective double-blind study. this clinical trial will be registered in Public registry. this RCT will be based on CONSORT statement. The patient coming to Gynecology OPD will be randomized into 3 groups GROUP A ( metformin 500 mg TDS), GROUP B( myoinositol 2mg x BD ), GROUP C.(both metformin,& myoinositol).each group will take folic acid and will be asked for lifestyle modifications.

NCT ID: NCT04193371 Active, not recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Effects of Acupuncture on Body Mass Index in Overweight and Obese Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS )

PCOS
Start date: December 6, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a cross-sectional case-control study combined with a randomised controlled trial (RCT) study. This study aims to compare the effect of acupuncture, with usual care (lifestyle management) for weight control, with BMI (Body Mass index) as main outcome along with improvement of reproductive and metabolic dysfunction in overweight and obese women with PCOS, and further exploring the alteration of lipidomics, bile acid omics, proteomics and branched-chain amino acids between PCOS and the normal controls, and before and after the acupuncture treatment in different gourps.

NCT ID: NCT04113889 Completed - PCOS Clinical Trials

Effects of Triple Drug Cocktail Therapy on Metabolic, Endocrine Alterations and Perceived Stress in Patients With Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome

PCOS
Start date: October 15, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The investigators aim is to conduct a double blind randomized clinical trial, to study the effects of triple drug cocktail (metformin, pioglitazone and acetyl L-Carnitine) therapy on metabolic, endocrine alterations and perceived stress response in patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Women diagnosed with PCOS, using criteria proposed in November 2015, by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), American College of Endocrinology (ACE), and Androgen Excess and PCOS Society (AES) for PCOS should include two of the following three criteria: chronic an ovulation, hyperandrogenism (clinical/biologic), and polycystic ovaries. The investigators propose that PCOS women may have altered metabolic, endocrine levels and increased perceived stress response and combination therapy may have beneficial influences on these parameters in women diagnosed with PCOS.

NCT ID: NCT04034706 Active, not recruiting - PCOS Clinical Trials

Transcriptional and Epigenetic Program of PCOS Women

EPIC
Start date: January 31, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main goal is to reveal differences in global gene expression in two different adipose tissue (AT) depots of females with and without polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and how these are influenced by upstream epigenetic markers

NCT ID: NCT04010942 Completed - Clinical trials for Vitamin D Deficiency

Vitamin D for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Clomiphene Resistant Women

Start date: April 1, 2018
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is determining the therapeutic effect of Vitamin D supplements to Pcos clomiphene resistant polycystic ovarian syndrome Women. Half of patients will receive Vitamin D with metformin while other half metformin only. Then both groups start clomiphene for 3 month

NCT ID: NCT03991286 Completed - PCOS Clinical Trials

The Effect of Astaxanthin on Oxidative Stress Indices in Patients With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Start date: January 20, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrinopathy affecting women of reproductive age It is hypothesized that ∼20 fold increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation in Follicular fluid (FF) and granulosa cells of PCOS women plays an adverse role in affecting the IVF success rate. Astaxanthin (3,3'-dihydroxy-β,β'-carotene-4,4'-dione) is a nonprovitamin A carotenoid classified as a xanthophyll and is found in high amounts in the red pigment of crustacean shells (e.g., crabs, shrimp), salmon, trout, and asteroides. It has been demonstrated that astaxanthin displays a wide variety of biological activities, including anti-oxidative, anticancer, and anti-inflammatory effects. investigators aim to investigate the effect on Astaxanthin administrating on reducing of ROS in FF and induction of antioxidant response elements in PCOS women.

NCT ID: NCT03981861 Completed - PCOS Clinical Trials

Metabolic and Neuro-Endocrine Effect of Treating PCOS in Adolescents
