Filter by:Rationale: Due to accelerated germ cell loss, infertility is a major problem in girls with Turner syndrome (TS). Therefore, cryopreservation of ovarian tissue or oocytes before exhaustion of the ovarian reserve may preserve fertility in patients with TS. However, in the majority of females with TS , the ovarian reserve is exhausted before the age of menarche. Early markers indicating and predicting the ovarian reserve are necessary. During mid-childhood the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis is quiescent and gonadotropins are usually unmeasurable. Nonetheless, this axis is active during infancy. Therefore, gonadotropins are measurable with peak values at 3 months of age and with lower (but still measurable) values at 9 months of age, in a period called the minipuberty. The aim of this study is to find markers of ovarian capacity, during the minipuberty, in order to predict ovarian reserve in the future. Objective: The hormonal range of LH, FSH, AMH, inhibin B, testosterone and estradiol in girls with TS during the minipuberty and the relation of the hormone serum levels with the karyotype. Study design: A prospective, cohort study with a duration of 3 years. Study population: Girls with a pre- or perinatal diagnosis TS who are born in a medical centre in the Netherlands during the duration of the study Main study parameters/endpoints: Serum levels of FSH, LH, AMH, inhibin B, testosterone and estradiol at the age of 3 and 9 months.
Prospective, multi-center, non-randomized study to assess the ability of the Cytuity device to collect cell samples from the fallopian tube that can be evaluated for the presence or absence of malignancy.
Our hypothesis is: the nutritional supplement Ocoxin-viusid improves the quality of life of patients, including a better tolerance to neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
A feasibility study to provide 'proof of concept' of Elemental Diet (ED) as an acceptable/ useful feeding option for patient with inoperable malignant bowel obstruction and to examine the impact of ED on quality of life
While significant progress has been made in the treatment and prognosis of ovarian cancer, this progress has mostly shown benefits for younger women. This study aims to understand two things: How body composition (the amount of muscle and water versus fat in in the body) affects the dose and side effects of chemotherapy; and the biological reason for the worse prognosis with aging. To get a good view of these effects, investigators are asking the help of both younger and older women for this project.
The purpose of this multicenter imaging sub study is to evaluate the biodistribution and organ pharmacokinetics of 89Zr-MMOT0530A in patients with unresectable pancreatic or platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. MMOT0530A is a monoclonal antibody that targets an antigen overexpressed in pancreatic and ovarian cancer. Subsequent to imaging with 89Zr-MMOT0530A, patients will be treated with DMOT4039A in the DMO4993g protocol (clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT01469793) after this study. DMOT4039A is an antibody-drug conjugate composed of the monoclonal antibody MMOT0530A and the mitotic agent monomethyl auristatin (MMAE). By imaging patients with the monoclonal antibody MMOT0530A before treatment, the correlation between tumor uptake of 89Zr-MMOT0530A and response to DMOT4039A therapy will be assessed.
The main reason for this trial is to show the feasibility of removing the ovarien and fallopian tubes through the gaster (transgastric adnexectomy). The background for it is to look for more indications of scarless surgery and we will show that the transgastric adnexectomy can be performed in an easy way. It is necessary that there is an indication for removing the ovaries and fallopian tubes and if the patient agree we will do it instead of through the belly through the gaster and maybe with an additional inzision in the vagina. All patients with indication for adnexectomy are potential candidates.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the early and continuous addition of bevacizumab for up to 30 months to the standard chemotherapy is more effective than the early and continuous addition of bevacizumab for up to 15 months.
The purpose of this study is to determine the activity, tolerability and safety of Temsirolimus in women with ovarian cancer who progressed during the previous platinum chemotherapy alternatively within 6 months from completion of therapy or advanced endometrial carcinoma.
The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of testosterone, estradiol and a combined treatment with estrogens/progestagens prior to IVF-ICSI in previously diagnosed low responder patients.
