Start date: March 31, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, double-blind, parallel, multicenter, multinational study to compare the efficacy, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety and immunogenicity of MB09 versus Prolia® in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis

NCT ID: NCT05332626 Active, not recruiting - Bone Loss Clinical Trials

Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Postmenopausal Osteoporosis Women

LaBon
Start date: February 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to evaluate the effect of Lactobacillus acidophilus supplementation on calcium status and bone densitometry in postmenopausal women in a randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled study.

NCT ID: NCT05328154 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Osteoporosis, Postmenopausal

MAGnesium Effect With ANtiosteoporotic Drugs

MAGELLAN
Start date: June 28, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Randomized pilot clinical trial to demonstrate superiority of bisphosphonate-magnesium combination over bisphosphonates alone in postmenopausal osteoporosis in slowing bone remodeling as assessed by C-terminal telopeptide of bone collagen type 1 (CTX) dosage.

NCT ID: NCT05326815 Active, not recruiting - Osteoporosis Clinical Trials

A Comparison of Serum and Urine N-telopeptide Marker

Start date: March 28, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a prospective specimen collection cohort study to evaluate the correlation between serum and urine values of the bone marker of interest, and their association with baseline DEXA scan measures and fracture risk within 6 months. Study samples will be obtained longitudinally. One collection of both serum and urine collection will be obtained. The urine will be collected as second void of day and at the same time the blood collection is drawn. Study will continue for a period or 1 year, with plan to enroll around 40 subjects.

NCT ID: NCT05325515 Completed - Clinical trials for Osteopenia or Osteoporosis

The Effect of Effervescent Alendronate on Bone Turnover

Start date: October 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

64 postmenopausal women are randomized to treatment with either effervescent and buffered alendronate or conventional alendronate -both 70mg weekly for 16 weeks to see if bone turnover is suppressed to the same extent as in the conventional formulation with the effervescent form.

NCT ID: NCT05322538 Not yet recruiting - Osteoporosis Clinical Trials

Menier's Disease - Bone Density Study

Start date: October 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Meniere's disease is a progressive and debilitating inner ear disease characterised by vertigo and hearing loss. Several studies have linked Menierws disease with lower bone density and lower vitamin D levels. In the current prospective study definite Meniere's patients will be followed over a period of 2 year, during which repetitive measurements of bone density, vitamin D plasma levels, blood pressure as well as hearing and vestibular tests will be made. Results will be compared to healthy controls.

NCT ID: NCT05316272 Active, not recruiting - Osteoporosis Clinical Trials

Effects of DHEA and Exercise on Bone Marrow Fat in Postmenopausal Women

Start date: March 11, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Bone strength -the main determinant of bone fracture- is a function not only of bone mineral density (BMD) and microstructure, but also of its microenvironment, including bone marrow fat (BMF). The adrenal steroid dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) -the main precursor for estrogens and androgens in postmenopausal women- as well as bone-loading exercise, increase BMD in older women, however, their effects on BMF are largely unknown. This study has high potential to unveil the hormonal and mechanical effects of DHEA and exercise on BMF, respectively, and to elucidate longitudinal associations of BMF with bone strength in older women with bone loss.

NCT ID: NCT05305183 Not yet recruiting - Osteoporosis Clinical Trials

A Phase III Clinical Study of Minodronate Tablets in Postmenopausal Women With Osteoporosis

Start date: May 31, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

In the randomized, active-controlled, double-blinded, multicenter study, the efficacy and safety of monthly oral minodronate were examined and compared to that of weekly oral alendronate.

NCT ID: NCT05303350 Withdrawn - Osteoporosis Clinical Trials

Comparison of the Effectiveness of a Web Fracture Liaison Service (e_FLS) to Fracture Liaison Services in France: the evAB Study (evAB)

evAB
Start date: February 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to compare web FLS model (e_FLS) to conventional FLS in terms of increasing the proportion of patients receiving an antiosteoporotic treatment in the year after a low trauma fracture.

NCT ID: NCT05283148 Active, not recruiting - Osteoporosis Clinical Trials
